On the heels of America facing a racial reckoning post-the murder of George Floyd, academia has been forced to examine its role in perpetuating racism and anti-blackness as illustrated with the hashtag turned movement:#BlackInTheIvory. 

Amplifying the voices of Black women in the academy, IA will explore this topic and the structures that need to be put in place for Blackademics to not only survive but thrive in the academy.
