In Season 3, podcasts will come monthly instead of bi-monthly.
I wanted to start this season off with a re-release. Here we hear from two of my favorite people and my two massage therapists as they give us an inside look into massage and its many benefits. I chose to re-release this episode in the winter in order to remind you all that self-care is so vital & necessary and even moreso in the winter when we are all battling the cold & less sunshine or access to the Earth's healing frequency. Everyone needs a loving pair of hands on our bodies!
Grief is so hard, all the time, but especially around the holidays. We recently lost our dog of 12.5 years, my therapy pup Rio, and one of my best friends recently lost her mom. So this re-release is honor of Ama and for all of you out there who are grieving your special person this holiday season. I send all my love through this time!
Hey guys! This episode was from really early on in season 1, but it's on the lymphatic system and it's role in our immune, gut & skin health so I wanted to put it back out into the Podcast Universe since this is the time of year everyone seems to be getting sick!

Join Integrative OT in learning about breath work and it's many offerings. Breathing is an occupation none of us think about often, but Diane shares what can happen when we intentionally focus and hold space for our most innate, unconscious occupation.

I have had a few friends ask about the perimenopause transition for women, so here is your podcast, friends! I hope you find the information helpful for supportive occupations during this journey. Remember: love your bodies and give them the grace & rest they need during this time!
In this episode, I have a special guest: Camille DeSantis, LMT. Here we talk about a group we created: Heeling Cancer for all cancer survivors in the Birmingham, AL area. Give it a listen and reach out if you'd like to join, share with someone who might enjoy it, or pass along to a healthcare provider you think might like to be our guest hiker for the day! You can check out the list of hikes via my website (www.bhamintegrativeot.com) or on my IG page :)

Hello & welcome back from a summer break! I am excited to share with you today the long-promised Part 2 of the functional nutrition podcast. Today we dive into how nutrition impacts hormones from cortisol to estrogen and everywhere in between. I also discuss circadian rhythm and sleep giving practical tips on how to live your healthiest life through nutrition and sleep!
I am super pumped for this episode as it is essentially the culmination of my doctoral project for my degree! I talk alllll things climate change/sustainability from an occupational lens. We dive deep into looking into how our occupations either help or harm the planet and what we can be doing better.
