  • OBSERVE 🔎 gaining insight into what feeds our soul (11/30)
Today, let's take stock throughout the day to improve our connection to Self.
Explore today's full session at https://intentioninspired.com/creative-autumn11
📣 Read today's affirmation out loud with purpose and intent:
"I honor my commitments to my health and well-being."
    🍂 INSPIRATION FROM AUTUMN:
    The Harvest is underway.
We have the opportunity to gauge what we have to carry us through Winter.  Do we have enough tomatoes to can or just enough to eat? How much squash did we grow?  Enough cucumbers to pickle?
We also take stock of our mental, emotional and spiritual harvest. Did we make a commitment to create daily, meditate daily, connect with Nature, observe and journal our conditioned patterns?  Are we honoring that commitment?
    Taking Stock
What did you grow this year?
I grew a garden-tomato, cucumber, onion, eggplant, squash, melon, etc.  I grew Patience (still tending that).  I grew my commitment to daily creativity (I get a gold star).  The desire to declutter is becoming hard to ignore.  I will plant the seeds of my decluttering commitment for at least 30 min per day but it is only the desire that is planted so far.  The same with organization but both are becoming a necessity.  I planted acceptance for people being and believing as they will.
What can you preserve or create that will carry you through the Winter cycle?
Tomatoes-a lot of them, Creativity Commitment, Acceptance and Allowance for myself and others, Taking the time during the end of the Autumn Season and through the Winter to honor the commitments I made to myself.
How can you prepare your inner and outer spaces for rest and reflection?
I can make a firm commitment beginning today towards decluttering and organization.  That will prepare both inner and outer spaces.  Make good, hearty soups, Wash my warm blankets.  Check the pantry for staple items. Stay off of my phone and the internet.  Make a FIRM meditation commitment.
    🙏 A MOMENT OF GRATITUDE:
"As I observe the bounty of my harvest, I am blessed by the many choices I have available to feed my soul with.
    I am grateful for _____________________ "

Taking stock will help us acknowledge our "harvest" and lay a foundation that will not only take us through the end of Autumn but through the Winter with grace.  We ask a lot of ourselves (and maybe others as well) and creating space for love, rest and reflection, once we have taken stock and prepared, aligns us with a safe, warm sanctuary to weather this cycle.

  • SYMBOLIC 🌀 deepening the connection we have to the cycles Autumn - (10/30)
Today, let's play with symbols of Autumn in ways that deepen the connection we have to the cycles of the Universe.
Explore today's full session at https://intentioninspired.com/creative-autumn10
🍂 AUTUMN INSPIRATION: Autumn is a season rich with symbolism. Falling leaves, pumpkins, Thanksgiving and Halloween may be the symbols that spring to mind. However, there is so much more to be learned from this season of Harvest and how it connects to the maturity and awareness of our own cycles. For those of us in the Autumn cycle of our life journey, we may look at the Symbols of Autumn with conflicting emotion.
There may be a sadness, yet also a feeling of fulfillment. There may be some fear, yet also a feeling of peace and knowing. Autumn brings a knowing. All of these conflicting emotions allows us to choose what best serves us best from a cornucopia of possibility.
These are some of the aspects of Autumn that may apply to our stages of development both internally and externally:
    Harvest • Ripeness • Maturity
As an idea manifests into reality it becomes ripe with possibility. Autumn represents the apex of all "fruits". The natural cycle is full and ripe but also comes with a knowing that this is the peak of the cycle and all things will change.
Impermanence • Letting Go • Acceptance
As the leaves change color we gaze in awe at the canvas they create. We also know what that means. All things are impermanent. Autumn gives us the opportunity to accept and honor the cycles of birth, growth and death on all levels. Whether it is changing conditioned behaviors, dealing with our bodies as they age, a brilliant idea or a tree as it sheds its leaves, there is a cycle to all things. Winter is coming. We choose how we navigate this cycle.
    Preservation • Connection • Preparation
Animals collect and store their harvest to prepare for Winter. They prepare their spaces for hibernation. We, too, can use this time to preserve the bounty that feeds our soul and to prepare our indoor (and internal) spaces, making it comfortable for the cold months ahead, for ourselves and our cohabitants. It is these cohabitants that we rekindle and reexamine our connection to during these Autumn days.
    Balance
The days and nights are returning to balance during this cycle. This gives us the opportunity to explore both the "light and the dark" of our nature. As part of the cycle we revisit the idea that both are equally important and worthy. We give each their voice and we accept that this contrast is vital for our growth.
    📓 CREATIVE JOURNAL PROMPT:
Are you familiar with Rune Stones? The Rune symbols are an ancient Anglo Saxon alphabet over 2000 years old. Traditionally they were used for protection, gravestone markings, communication and magic. No one knows for sure the origins of the rune alphabet but there is something mystical and wise about these symbols. (If you want more information on runestones and their use there is great information online).
Today we are going to make our own symbolic language. After reading the Autumn Inspiration above let's make at least ten symbols that resonate with this season with an explanation of our meaning.
    👯 COMMUNITY CONVERSATION
Symbols and Rituals are a valuable part of our diverse culture. As humans, we "need" to create meaning of the world around us. There is such creativity wrapped up in the way these rituals and symbols enhance our lives. Symbols help us understand the connection we have to the cycles of the natural Universe and playing with them (as well as creating them) is both a wonderful expression of our creative power and a lot of fun.

  • ACKNOWLEDGEMENT 👁 reflecting on the magnificence of divine abundance - (9/30)
Today, let's embody the feeling place that reflects the magnificence of our own being.
Explore today's full session at https://intentioninspired.com/creative-autumn9
With curiosity and observation, expressive creativity can guide us more clearly through deep-seated feelings and fears, conditioned patterns and responses, connection to other creators, and intuition.  It is enhanced by our ability to think BROADLY about our life experience and possibilities (even the possibilities we find "far fetched").  All that is required is our acknowledgment.
    📣 TODAY'S AFFIRMATION:
Repeat today's affirmation out loud with releasing intent:
    "I am creative.
    There are infinite possibilities available.
Just because I currently believe something does not make it "truth".
I am a magnificent being and I honor my growth."
It is unfortunate that acknowledging our magnificence is so difficult for us to do without hesitation, resistance or embarrassment.  What is your usual response when faced with your own reflection?
    Do you ignore yourself?
Do you deny or justify that it is difficult to look in your own eyes? (I do not care how I look...what really matters is how I feel or how much I get done or what I do for others...etc.)
Or do you look at yourself and point out the "flaws"?
Go to the mirror.  Look directly in your own eyes and say this:
You are safe.     You are magnificent.   I love you.
    🍂 AUTUMN INSPIRATION
Autumn is the beginning of the end that we are witnessing all around us.
With that, we acknowledge and celebrate that we, too, are somewhere in this seasonal transition.  For those of us that are in the Autumn of our cycle, this cycle of maturity and "adulthood" allows us to reflect on who we are now and acknowledge the abundance of our journey.  Bringing ourselves into this moment to reflect and acknowledge ourselves-our divinity and abundance, brings us closer to peace as we move into the Winter cycle.
Our acknowledgment brings with it an important understanding.  How precious this moment truly is.  How will we honor our precious moments?  As I "age" the answer becomes very clear.  Love is and always has been the answer.
    📓 CREATIVE JOURNAL PROMPT
Go back to the mirror.  Look deeply into your own eyes and tell yourself, "I Am Safe".  Acknowledge that you are a divine being. Acknowledge that you are a being of beauty and wonder. Acknowledge that you are creative.
    What is your feeling place?
What color is this feeling place?
How much room does this feeling place consume?
    Create this feeling place.
    🙏 A MOMENT OF GRATITUDE
"I will wrap myself in blankets of love.
I will BE love and I will begin with myself in this moment.
From that acknowledgment, I will share love.

  • RELEASING 🍂 embracing impermanence by letting go of what is no longer serving - (8/30)
Today, let's embrace impermanence by letting go of what no longer serves us.
Explore today's full session at https://intentioninspired.com/creative-autumn8
    📣 TODAY'S AFFIRMATION:
"As Autumn leaves fall to the ground, I will also release all of my burdens and stress."
    🍂 INSPIRATION FROM AUTUMN:
Nature is within us and around us.
We can rejoice in the letting go, as the leaves change color and fall. It means the release of what has served its purpose. We may feel a sense of grief at the impermanence of all things but still rejoice in our awareness that this is part of the cycle.
"Autumn is about to show us how beautiful it is to let things go." - Anonymous
Everything seems a bit more precious at this time of year.
That may be because this is the time when things come to an end, or begin to come to an end. Maybe everything seems more beautiful at this time of year, because everything is in transition and we are aware that we must let go. In fact, letting go when things are at an "end" is part of the cycle.
Just as the trees give up their leaves, this is the ideal time for us to give up those habits, practices, and even relationships that no longer serve us. We have been changing and growing all year long and our needs have most likely also changed. Holding on to dead leaves does not help a tree weather the cold of winter, and holding on to outdated aspects of our lives will not aid us in moving forward either.
It’s an awareness of this that helps us fall in love with life in a much deeper way.
Impermanence is the beauty and the energy of life. Life is forever changing and transforming and turning into something new. If we can honor this transformation we begin to see that as some things come to and end, new things are being born.
In this Autumn Season, how can you embrace this transformation?
What needs to end or is ending? What will be born as a result?
    📓 JOURNAL PROMPT & RITUAL
Take three long, slow breaths. Bring yourself to this moment, to this creative sanctuary. Now with intention ask ... What needs to go?
Spend at least 5 minutes writing about what you need to let go of. Sit with your observations a moment.
Our journal page for today is an expression of Letting Go.
    Then burn it baby!
As you watch the paper burn, visualize what is unwanted rising up in the smoke, being released from you. Allow yourself to experience whatever you are feeling: fear, anxiety, sadness, loss, gratitude.
When your paper is ash offer a releasing affirmation such as:
“Today I release what I don’t want. I let go, allowing my higher self and Source to work on my behalf. I am healed and renewed. I open my heart to love, and I am blessed with peace, joy, and harmony.”
Scatter the ashes on the wind or in the water.
    😄 A MOMENT OF GRATITUDE:
Gratitude for releasing can be a freeing experience.
    "I Am Grateful for ________________________ "
    💬 COMMUNITY CONVERSATION:
Letting Go is something we can all practice for our well-being.
We tend to hold on to old ideals, old beliefs, old opinions, behaviors and possessions that we have simply outgrown or never served us in the first place. It isn't always easy to Let Go but with consistent practice and starting "small" we can make room for something new.

  • SENSING 🖐 tuning in with our whole being - (7/30)
Today, let's rest and reflect as we capture the essence of Autumn by tuning into the smells, textures, sounds, tastes, and sights.
    📣 TODAY'S AFFIRMATION
"To prepare for the short and chilly days I will learn to rest and reflect. I will welcome this day with my open heart."
    🍂 TODAY'S INSPIRATION FROM AUTUMN:
As we ease into Autumn, the season of Harvest, Gratitude, and Preparation we are reminded that Nature's cycles are reflected in our lives.
Tune into this Autumn Season with your whole being.  See if you can capture the essence of Fall with each of your senses.
“Live in each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influence of the earth.”
    ― Henry David Thoreau, Walden
Many of us live by the clock and it might be easy to forget that we live in a world of natural seasons and seasonal change.  Each season teaches us lessons about ourselves, other people, and life in general.  We know that as one cycle ends another will begin and in each cycle, we have grown and are connecting with greater awareness. Each season helps us transform psychologically, physically, and socially. They strengthen our self-awareness and resilience and enliven our spirits.
This week we focused on the Harvest and Abundance of Autumn,  Next week we look at the aspects of Autumn that remind us of the impermanence of all things.  Both indicate that Fall is once again upon us.

  • GRATITUDE 🙏 refocusing energy where it best serves us - (6/30)
Today, let’s focus our energy where it best serves by acknowledging our blessings.
Explore today's full session at https://intentioninspried.com/creative-autumn6
A gratitude practice is a daily ritual of expressing your gratitude for all the wonderful things, people, and experiences in your life so far. I like to practice gratitude, periodically, throughout the day or whenever I feel "lack".  A gratitude practice can be as simple or as as listing three things you are grateful for in the morning and then three things about your day that you were grateful for in the evening.
What would your daily gratitude practice look like?  The main idea is to "feel" grateful by acknowledging the bounty that you have created (your life).  Don't leave the many wonderful attributes that YOU possess on the back burner. Feeling gratitude about the wonder of your being has its own set of benefits.
    📣 TODAY'S AFFIRMATION:
"I see and feel abundance all around me and I feel blessed."
    🍂 TODAY'S INSPIRATION FROM AUTUMN:
Autumn is the season of gratitude.
We know that Gratitude is one of the "feel good practices" of Mindfulness but did you also know that gratitude has many health benefits?  Studies are now being done that indicate that people who consistently practice gratitude.
A gratitude practice affects your energetic vibration, your mood, hormone levels, and health.  These are a few of the benefits:
    • A stronger immune system
    • Lower blood pressure, reduced stress
    • Higher levels of positive emotion, happiness, joy and optimism
    • Acting with more compassion and generosity
    • Feeling less isolated and lonely
    • Strengthening social relationships and increased understanding of others
There are many more benefits but my observation is that we cannot be in two feeling places at one time.  If we are focused on gratitude we find ourselves, more often, in a feeling place of abundance, happiness, optimism and honor our connections more.  These are the feeling places of a joyful, creative life.
Because Autumn is the Season of the Harvest, it is clear to see why it is also the season of gratitude.
When we place our intention on the abundance we have created (sure, we still have other wants and desires but look at what we HAVE accomplished!  Look at the magnificence of who we ARE!) our expressions of gratitude become clear.
Focusing on all we have to be grateful for raises our energy and we show ourselves that we HAVE been learning, we have been growing, we have been evolving.  By following the cycles and honoring the seasons, we can move into the coziness of Winter (once again) with gratitude and a clearer path laid out before us.
    📓 TODAY'S JOURNAL PROMPT:
We have two ideas for our creative journal today:
    (1) Our first idea is a Gratitude Journal!
It can be as simple or expansive as you like and you are putting yourself in the "feeling place" of abundance and gratitude.
If you are limited in time you could write three things you are grateful for, followed by three affirmations of gratitude.  Expand that to ten things if you have the time.
    2) Our second idea is CORNUCOPIA.
Make a cornucopia on your journal page and fill it with what you are grateful for (images or words or both).  Take your time and add to it as you continue your gratitude practice.
    🙏 A MOMENT OF GRATITUDE:
"I am a remarkable being with so many unique qualities.

  • PRESERVATION 🐿 gathering and protecting what we most value - (5/30)
Today, let’s examine our Harvest so we can gather and protect what will carry us through the darkest times.
Explore today's full session at https://intentioninspired.com/creative-autumn5
Because we have been gathering, the abundance lays out before us in a cornucopia of possibility.  We are beginning to become very clear on what feeds our soul. With that knowledge each day becomes an experiment and a treasure hunt for more input.
During this Autumn Season what bounty do you want to experience daily? What will you hold in your knapsack?  What will you compost?
    📣 TODAY'S AFFIRMATION
"I choose to gather and preserve what I need to live a creative life."
    🍂 TODAY'S INSPIRATION FROM AUTUMN
Gathering the Autumn Harvest allows us the opportunity to decide how we will "preserve" our "bounty" (or if we even want to).
Much of our bounty (the pause, creativity, compassion, self care, meditation, connection to Nature, breathing, etc.) we would like to use on a daily basis.  This bounty we preserve by our commitment to daily "use".
Some of our bounty, we realize, will be useful as our journey unfolds (stepping into the unknown, reframing conditioning, certain creative expressions, etc.) and we may want to take our time or practice in stages.  This bounty we preserve and put in our knapsack to snack on when we need to.
Some of what we used to believe was bounty, we realize now should be composted (over giving, over achieving, avoidance, fear of being negative, always saying yes, scarcity mindset, berating yourself, etc.).
With the coming of Autumn, we are able (once again) to examine our Harvest and choose our intentions for preservation.
For many creatures in Nature, Autumn is the season for preserving and preparing.
We know that Winter will be upon us soon.  We gather and preserve our foods, our supplies and our tools of creativity to feed us, carry us through, keep us safe and allow us comfort.  We prepare our space so we have a comfy sanctuary to wait out the cold.
What preparations do you need to make this Autumn?
    📓 TODAY'S JOURNAL PROMPT
Today, look around your creative space. Have you gathered your tools of creative expression?
That might be a room full of color-making mediums or a set of colored pens and a sketchbook. Feeding your creative soul is all that matters and that is your own preference.
Are there any "tools" you need or would like to try out?
GATHERING is our journal prompt for the day.

  • BALANCE ☯ embracing both the darkness and light - (4/30)
Today, let's honor all facets of our being—both the darkness and the light.
Explore today's full session at https://intentioninspired.com/art-friend
Because we are human, each of us contains elements of both darkness and light.  In fact, our light and our darkness is the duality that makes us whole. Often we acknowledge and value the light and attempt to avoid, bury or mask over the darkness.  We pass judgment, quickly, on those we perceive to be "dark".  To be clear, light and dark are merely opposites, polarities that exist in our human experience.
Can you think of a time in your life when your light and dark were out of balance?
LIGHT: love. compassion, trust, peace, passion, freedom, fulfillment, caring, delight, beauty, divinity, joy, health
DARKNESS: fear, perfectionism, greed, jealousy, lack, dishonesty, dis-ease, loss, suffering, pain, anxiety, depression
Only you can fully identify (by knowing your values and beliefs) what your perceptions of light and dark would be.  This is very valuable information for creating our reality.
    🍂 INSPIRATION FROM AUTUMN
As Autumn unfolds the days get shorter and the night gets longer.  Darkness and light gently return to balance.  Our focus today, as we follow the cycle of Autumn, is the darkness and light within each of us.
"I will love the light for it shows me the way. Yet I will endure the darkness for it shows me the stars."  – Og Mandino
    💬 TODAY'S QUOTE:
"Put light against light...you have nothing.  Put darkness against darkness...you have nothing.  It is the contrast of light and dark that each give the other one meaning. " – Bob Ross

  • NOURISH 💧 feeding the soul by honoring our creative process - (3/30)
Today, let's craft more intention into the space where engage with our creative practice.
Explore today's full session at https://intentioninspired.com/creative-autumn3
Any experience can be a chance to practice our creativity and an opportunity to embrace all aspects of our being. You do not have to be "productively" creative to be a creator. Creativity is your life force energy, the embodiment of ALL you are. You only need the courage and curiosity to find out what that means for you.
We move into Autumn appreciating what we have learned from the "seeds" we have tended. Gathering the bounty that our intentions have sown, honoring this bounty with ritual and gratitude and allowing ourselves to feel the cyclical rhythms of this Harvest Season.
Our busy Summer has come to an end and in Autumn we prepare for Winter by establishing our daily routines, preparing our Winter spaces (internal and external) and feeding our souls.
    📣 TODAY'S AFFIRMATION:
"I look within to unearth information of new experience."
One of the magically creative things that we can do to feed our soul is to experiment with a bunch of experiences that may interest us. Autumn invites this experimentation. Make a list of 5 things you will do today to feed your soul. Now, make a list of at least 10 things that you would like to play with that you think might feed your soul. Be bold, be brave, be wild!
It may not be possible at this moment to try all of these things this week but using your imagination you can find ways to experience the "feeling place" of the experience or have a mini-experience. For instance, maybe one of the items on your list is to sing to a large audience. You may have no idea how to pull that off but you could find karaoke in your area or sing while you're waiting for the bus. Use your tools of imagination and curiosity and begin to feed your soul.
    PREPARING OUR SPACE
There is a theme today as we identify what feeds our soul. For some of us, a lot of our "soul feeding" is done indoors (especially as the weather turns). It is important that we claim a spot, no matter how small, that we can call our own. A place where we can have privacy if needed, leave tools and items available to return to, a space that fuels our imagination and our muse can feel comfortable. A place where we can have mementos of love around us, an alter, a yoga mat, a bowl of stones. If you already have such a space, today is the day for organizing, decorating and fine-tuning.
If space is an issue for you, you can make yourself a "To Go" box, bag or cart. This "To Go" Receptacle can house the tools you need for your indoor activities and you can move it to whatever space is available. Choosing and decorating a space for your "journey's and explorations" sends a message to yourself that you and your journey are important.
If you have no open space at all, your journal can be your space. Each blank page is a room all to itself. A journal and the tools required to create our creative journal take up very little space at all. A journal, pens, pencils, ruler, scissors, color, magazines (if you collage), stamp pads, stencils, glue or glue stick, gesso are your base supplies and they all fit neatly into a small carrying receptacle.
All of the activities we played with today can feed us. They can also fuel our excitement about the endless possible dreams that may be available and appealing. We only need to provide the willingness and the courage.
Please share your observations as we Journey into Autumn and the things that Feed Your Soul in the comments below or the Art Room Activity Feed.

  • ABUNDANCE 🌟 celebrating our creations and becoming receptive for what's next - (2/30)
Today, let's broaden our perspective of abundance by appreciating what we have already created and become open receptacles of for the vast bounty that is yet to come.
Explore today's full session at https://intentioninspired.com/creative-autumn2
We have manifested a great bounty of love and creativity.  There is more to come!  That is not a statement of greed.  We are deserving of this abundance. We are doing the internal, creative "work" necessary to become the highest expression of our being.  "Source" is active and willing to give.  How open are we to receive?
    📣 TODAY'S AFFIRMATION
"I am deserving of the abundance of the Universe."
Not only are we surrounded by the abundance of the creative life we are living (both internally and externally) but this very moment we are creating the path towards what lies ahead.  This knowledge adds importance to our creative observations.
What we think, believe and feel will determine what our future path will be. That is why we spend so much time observing our patterns of thought and behavior and then setting the intentions that will best serve our greatest manifestations.
    🍂 INSPIRATION FROM AUTUMN:
Oh! The vast abundance of Autumn.  So rich, so colorful, so ripe!
We tend to equate abundance with money or material goods.  Let's spend the day broadening that perception.  We live on a planet of incredible wealth.  We are receptacles of knowledge that we may not even be fully aware of.  All around us is the bounty of our own creative manifestation.
Spend a moment appreciating the bounty that surrounds you.
Today we are focused on the Abundance of the Harvest.
Throughout our creative practice runs a beautiful and bountiful thread of connection.  We are not only connecting to ourselves and becoming aware of our own divinity.  We are connecting to Nature, to other co-creators, to Source.  These connections allow our creativity and self awareness to take form and to grow...if we are willing to stay open and receptive.
What do you wish to receive?  (The sky universe is the limit.)
    📓 CREATIVE JOURNAL EXERCISE:
To gather the bounty of the Harvest we need a receptacle.  This could be a basket, a bowl, a shell, a chalice.  Any receptacle that resonates with you.
Collage or sketch this empty receptacle into your journal.  Ground yourself into this moment with a few grounding breaths.  Feel the gratitude for the abundance you have already manifested.
Ask and remain open to receive:  "I fill this receptacle with the bounty of my creative journey.  What do I need to create a path of love and fulfillment?"
Sit silently for a moment and let the answers arise.  When you are satisfied, fill your receptacle with words and/or images of your bounty (the bounty you currently have and the bounty that is yet to come).
    😄 A MOMENT OF GRATITUDE:
    I am bountiful and creative.
I am open to receiving the Abundance of the Universe.
    I am grateful for
