When was the last time you took time solely for yourself? What would you do if you could step away from your routine and explore somewhere new? That’s what my guest Kimi Jevic Brooks recently did. She took a huge trip to Zurich, Switzerland to see Taylor Swift, and she did this all on her own.
Kimi talks about the sense of freedom, empowerment, and self-discovery that she gained from traveling solo. We also go into the broader implications for making time for ourselves and the ways this can be integrated into our daily lives.
This episode is a reminder to consider the importance of solo time. Whether you’re traveling across the ocean to spending a day at your local coffee shop, prioritizing yourself can be incredibly rewarding. Use these experiences to disconnect from your daily responsibilities, rediscover your passions, and build a strong connection with yourself.

In a world that’s always go, go, go, it can be easy to get caught up in trying to do it all, only to end up feeling overwhelmed. However, the key to achieving our goals and finding fulfillment lies in taking time to slow down. During this coaching session, this is the core message that my guest Andrea Mathes, a photographer from Pella, Iowa gains from our conversation.
As we go through this session, Andrea shares her struggles balancing her photography business and organizing retreats, while facing the challenges of getting people to attend. I offer her tips on engaging with potential clients, addressing the fear of rejection, and taking just 10 minutes out of her day to slow down.
Through some reflective exercises and affirmations, Andrea leaves our session with a clear path forward: to dedicate time for silent reflection, reach out authentically to potential clients, and reframe rejection as part of finding her true audience.

We are doing something a little different and I'm honestly really excited about it! As a coach, we often talk about how we can help people, which is great. However, I feel it's even better to go a step further and show others how you can potentially help them.
So, that's what I'm doing today. I have Michaela Dunn here with me today and you are going to get an inside look at a coaching session with me. Michaela is an entrepreneur and a mother of 3. She opens up about her journey in both her business and her personal life, and some of the current challenges she's facing, including launching her new podcast and the uncertainty of relocating for her husband's career.
Through this coaching session, I give her practical strategies to help her manage the stress, let go of what she doesn't have control over, and embrace change.
If this episode inspired you and you'd love to be coached by me, then please send me a DM on Instagram. I would love to chat and see how I can serve you and if we'd be a good fit.

She emphasizes the importance of finding passion in your professional life, noting that she feels most confident speaking when she’s deeply connected to a topic.
Additionally, Jill goes over the significance of positive self-talk, recognizing that she’s harder on herself than she needs to be, and retraining her brain to be more optimistic.

Gratitude is something that has become the cornerstone of how I like to live my life. It makes me feel like a happier, more connected person. And while it can sometimes be challenging to be grateful during those times when things are crazy, I always try to find ways to incorporate gratitude because it can help keep you grounded and focused on the things that really matter.
While gratitude is not something that can cure everything, it can significantly help to improve your mindset and perspective. It can also positively impact your life by using it as a tool for manifesting what you want. I encourage you to tap into this episode and come visualize your future as I walk you through what I want mine to look like.
