Interesting ideas with Stan Hustad

This is a story that came to me a number of years ago and it's based on the popular and still famous television program entitled, Would you like to be touched by an angel?

So in this interpretation of three angel stories from the Christmas story I try to perhaps bring some words of inspiration and comfort by thinking what might have happened or what would happen if we today right now on planet Earth were touched ,

Thanks for joining me and listening to the story and perhaps sharing some of your own.

I have to confess and of course it's no secret to the people who know me is that there's a little bit of a defiant spirit within me. I Like to be different. Needless to say this sometimes drives my wife crazy and so I try and tone it down but that's who I am.

And maybe that's why I have always found this to be my favorite Christmas song that I like to sing and particularly sing the last words as loud as I can. I often say that God asked us to make a joyful noise and since I'm not often times in tune or on key I'll just take it as my joyful noise.

Heard a podcast this past week that really helped me to understand because they share the truth that perhaps we all need to learn, maybe even write, maybe from time to time sing songs of defiance. I am going to do more of that and it just so happened that my favorite song for Christmas is very much a song of defiance ... And thanks to my friends at Seedbed communications for the inspiration.

Thanks

Most likely you have heard of Hanukkah and you certanily have heard of Hamas... One is a wonderful celebration and the other is an evil from the pit of hell ,,, but they are connected in a strange way ...  ..and one commentator said that if Hamas had known more. about Hanukkah they might have reconsidered the move which is now hopefully leading to their destruction.

But that brings me on me to one of my heroes ...Abraham Joshua Heschel. and that is what my story is about and about how you and I should live our life from the beginning but certainly starting now!

In my organization I could not care less what your education is about or what your degree is in.  Right now such a degree does not indicate that you can do anything worthwhile to help our business grow and to serve my clients and customers.

And more and more businesses are discovering at this time of crisis as we have found out that some of the elite colleges in universities are morally spiritually and intellectually bankrupt... And to go to an institution of higher education may be very bad for you.

So that's just my way to start a conversation with a little bit of a rant but I believe some things that are profoundly true and I would love to hear from you.

So let's see where this conversation leads us both into making some decisions about what is true worthwhile and what we should do in the year and future before us.

You will not be able to be a master leader or even a mediocre entrepreneur if you do not learn how to use the modern media, so that you can teach others, attract others, help others, and encourage them to buy from you, vote for you, follow you, and give you some time and attention so that you can tell your story and encourage them to tell yours.

Please remember that nothing happens in sales or relationships or even transactions until your story and their story connect. We are in the business of helping you reach and grow your audience and help your business grow and perhaps even to have a touch of immortality.

Yes this is the day that we remember Pearl Harbor. And today we will have stories and remember it even though it now goes back so I'm 82 years and there are not many survivors of Pearl Harbor that are left today.

He is long past and he is one of my best mentors though I never met him in person and he never met me. He didn't even know about me... When it comes to being a radio broadcaster and somebody who is a master at personal development and teaching and coaching people about how to be successful in life, he was one of the best and I learned a great deal from him.

And he has been dead for over 30 years but people are still being inspired and learning from him including me. And after this 20 minute radio program he may even have inspired and helped you learn things about life and business that you didn't know before.

There is some real wisdom in this program but most of it is not original with me, it is something that I was taught and then some thing that I learned.

Thanks for listening to my story,

Stan

Again this is a blast from the past but it is his current for today and tomorrow just as it was yesterday. Today's world needs people who are very good at what they do, in fact world class in both their work and in the teaching and mentoring of others.

So we are taking the lessons learned a few years ago in the book that was repaired a few years ago and now we're looking for people who truly want to rewrite the book and to turn it into a world-class program that will encourage business leaders to become world-class business mentors teachers storytellers and most of all care for others who are younger or less fortunate to become all they can be.

Could you be that kind of person?

I can guarantee you that most people don't really understand all that goes into Christmas and even many of those who celebrate the festival of lights, Hanukkah don't really know the story behind the celebration and the Menorah candleholder ... Let's start with Christmas and the story is that we were all lost in walking in darkness and didn't know what to do and we're being held captive, indeed we are hostages... And it doesn't seem that we will ever be rescued.

And isn't it ironically appropriate that right now the story of seeking to rescue hostages is a part of the daily news...  And instead of celebrating the good news of peace on earth goodwill to men and women we know that that is a hope in a dream because it certainly isn't a reality.  Yes indeed if we're going to have peace on earth and goodwill we need someone to come and rescue us, to save us, to turn the lights back on.  .. We need a lamp lighter.

Well let me tell you the stories and if you'll give me 18 minutes perhaps I can help you get a bigger and better and maybe eventually a happier view so that maybe indeed you will be thinking about an asking for not some gift under the tree or something in your stocking but perhaps you'll be asking for something bigger.

You might be asking for a Christmas miracle, a Hanukkah miracle, and perhaps you're asking to be set free to no longer be captive, hostage, and you would be grateful if truly the lights would come back on in your life.

Well just now right now maybe they can.

Audio Only ... I am always looking for ways to think differently both positively and perhaps a bit cynically. And I am asking people smarter than me and in a different world than me in many ways to help me better understand with the new AI will be about so that we can better deal with it handle it and make sure that the common good of all is served by it ...and that is a challenge because most new things in technology tend to have a tendency to go bad unless brave and bold and powerful men and women step in and bend them back to the good.

But the AI that I am talking about in today's presentation has nothing to do with that phenomenon but let me explain to you my new definition of what AI can mean in the present context of the messy and gone mad world we live in today.

There is a new AI that is abounding and we must recognize it for what it is, take action where we can and increase our personal strength to live well in our world the best we can, and I'm going to suggest three ways you might be able to do that today. I hope you have a better life starting right now.

Last Friday I talked about trying to think about it as Bright Friday and maybe you thought of ways to take that to heart.  But let's face it there's a lot of darkness in the world today and so perhaps we need to think differently about what we might be doing right now.

First of all did deal with the AI challenge and couldn't be they did not only will replace many of the great artists but maybe it will replace you too "the UR. factor."  I will challenge you to read the piece and you begin to think about it.

But then an old old painting reminded me of the importance of a long-ago occupation which technology certainly put an end to ... The lamplighter, and perhaps we need to think of a new way of being points of light, people of light and bright, people in the midst of the darkness and the evil of this new sometimes Nazi era, how can we be lamp lighters.

And then may I challenge you with what I called the Michelangelo Project.  It's one that I am involved in and I'm gonna challenge you to join me in the Michelangelo project.

So it's time for you to take 20 minutes and learn something maybe a number of things brand new.

Thanks
