We have been talking about words that begin with B in our approach to seeking to live a better life as we start a more traditional new year here in September and October. We have talked about belonging, about living a big life, about being bold and brave even as we are being old...

And today the most important B word.  And one that we usually don't associate with the life we live the career we have and the business we're in, and maybe we should.

So as our friends in the Jewish tradition celebrate the holiest day of the year with prayer and fasting and ended with feasting and celebrating... Indeed a celebration that they know that they are forgiven and they can now enjoy their forgiveness and have a clean slate and start all over again in a new year,

What would you call knowing that you are forgiven and that you have a clean slate to start life over again this year?

Maybe I can give you a clue even an answer!

On this Sunday night as we get ready to meet the week and meet the marketplace no world in which the leader ship of most things cannot be trusted anymore, what should we think about and what should we do on this ninth day.

May I take a few minutes to share some thoughts I'm being old and what might happen as you get older and could it be that something wonderful, maybe something powerful, maybe something you've never experienced or have done before could be before you!

Yes that is a question that I'm trying to deal with. As I have said many times this program is about interesting ideas so that you can become more interesting, have a greater insight about life and business, have a greater influence in your world and perhaps the world, make an impact and have good things come to you. A true income ...  do you know what that means?  With your permission give me 15 minutes on this Saturday evening flowing into the Sunday to listen to my story about some friends who describe one of their guests on their radio program as a woman who had truly lived a big life.

OK it is day seven of the days of AWE as we seek to get ready to have an awesome new year by doing new things in our old world.... Perhaps it's time to even seek to be brand new?

One of the things that you should do every year is to figure out whether you are a BELONGER  or a LONER is just where you belong this year and who do you belong to, and does anything or anybody belong to you.

You may not have ever heard that Xpress that way but Taylor Swift has a song that says you belong to me... Well I'm not sure that she means that for me but it's very good for me to know who I belong to and what belongs to me so that I can live life more effectively and with greater compassion and passion in the things that are important to me, and even to discover that maybe there are things that I can let go of and don't need anymore.

The year is always about hope for the next 365 days until I ask you to take some time to figure out your logins and your belongings!

 That's right we're going to hear about the stories that truly change the world when two modest brothers from Ohio who ran a bicycle shop and never thought that they could be any kind of entrepreneurs did so, and went from bicycle riding to flying.  That's why I called them with the part of the word, indeed the wRight brothers.

And I will give you a little cautious word about expecting applause and congratulations when you do something great insignificant.

And I had a very unusual dream last night and let me tell you about the challenge to make some new decisions in your old world.

 I am back from the outer banks and enjoyed the wisdom and the rest and perhaps some of the ways to live better as I walk the beautiful seashore.  I have once again discovered in my move to North Carolina home Porten it is for me to get some good SEA time on a regular basis.

And while I was away I didn't do any radio or television for 10 days and you may not have miss me but that's OK and it's more important that I do what is important and that is to be better repaired to help and serve others. Because that is the meaning of life, how to serve others.

But I'm also in the business of helping you serve and take care of yourself and so with your permission I'll take 20 minutes and it will not be a waste of time because I will give you seven important ideas that you need to think about and take some different kind of actions about that in the midst of the mess of the world you will be less messed up than most and perhaps have more power ... More confidence and personal poise than most.

I am starting my thoughts about the new year away from the studio and enjoying a place to think and play and pray as we enjoy the beautiful seaside life of the Outer Banks of North Carolina,

And we begin this week of thinking about the new year and the future that is before us by reminding me and perhaps reminding you of a program that we did just about a year ago in which in the midst of all the mess of the world that we can do nothing about we can change ourselves in profound ways and maybe one of the changes we need to do is to become more fully alive and more fully human.

... And indeed that is a good question, and then someone else said "are there any such things left anymore?"  Well let me tell you what I mean when I put out that greeting most every day that I'm on the radio. And perhaps it's a sign of my age or just a desire to return to what might be a more civilized way of living and relating to each other.

And this is not a deep dive into the subject at all but just simply some reflections and ideas about how we might find a way to be a little bit better right now and how we live our lives, how we project ourselves, and how we treat others.

Right now the world is in a mess and the leadership that we have has no clue about how to make it better.  

So maybe it's up to us in our own ways to be men and women, and ladies and gentlemen in such a way that our very power, our confidence, our clarity and convictions, will be evident to many and in some way the world will be a little bit better ...

... Because you and I passed by this way!  So take up the challenge and tell me what you think and are you going to do or dress differently the rest of the year.

This is a major holiday in the United States. It is Labor Day... And of course there's a story behind that even though most people have forgotten what the story really is because for most it's just another nice holiday at the end of the summer and the start of the rest of the season.

However for me and the people who follow me it's also the start of the new year season and a time to think about doing new things.  But before we do that it's important for you and I to think about labor pains and think about the life of  so many people who are the way they make their living is just hard, often dirty, often sweaty, sometimes painful hard hard work.

Yes indeed that's part of the story of labor pains.

And then when I'm feeling kind of challenged and slightly down I need to revisit a little sane saying which in effect says to me, "stan, don't even wish for, don't even pray for an easy life."

And a Final word on the word Miracle.
