Recognising that vineyard investments require specific expertise, services and transaction management, Michael Baynes co-founded Vineyards-Bordeaux to serve the Bordeaux vineyard market in 2008.

Having earned a degree in Land Management from Reading University, Michael completed his masters in Land Economy from Cambridge University before entering the sophisticated commercial real estate market of central London. Michael then completed the prestigious real estate qualification from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and worked for over six years with the publicly-listed real estate investment and development company, Speyhawk PLC and its subsidiary Hawk Development Management.

Building on this project management and commercial real estate background, he independently completed several small development projects in London before co-launching his investment and development company, Oxford-Spectrum LLC, in Southern California where he holds a full Broker’s license and is a member of the National Association of Realtors providing consultancy advice to his US clients. Over 13 years he built up his businesses in the USA which to date have completed over 30 developments, owns 750 storage units as well as a significant industrial park in Orange County with over 70 office, retail and industrial tenants.

Michael’s commercial real estate expertise has been a foundation of his leadership in vineyard transactions in France since 2008 where he holds a “Carte Professionnelle (French real estate license). As an expert in his field his is often invited to speak internationally on the Bordeaux vineyard market and in addition he teaches the MBA students at INSEEC Bordeaux on the subject of vineyard transactions.

Today, under Michael’s direction together with executive partner Karin Maxwell, Vineyards-Bordeaux is a market leader in the successful execution of complex vineyard purchases including vineyard asset transactions and mergers and acquisitions of vineyard company shares.

Marie was born in South Korea and raised in Sweden, Marie Grasmeier came to the United States to pursue her education. Her personal experience uniquely qualifies her to provide international tax services and real estate investment services for international investors, two of her niche business services.  “I’ve gone through the visa process and the immigration lines,” Grasmeier shares. “A lot of my clients are from overseas. They want to eventually come here to the U.S. and invest. I’m aware of the international issues that go with investing overseas. So, I think I understand my clients a little bit better than somebody who doesn’t have that background.”

Grasmeier is both a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA). She is also a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and a Trusts and Estates Practitioner (TEP). In addition to providing tax planning and compliance services and traditional accounting services, Grasmeier applies her accounting background to real estate investment services by specializing in the tax benefits and tax ramifications of real estate investing.  Following her own advice, Grasmeier has been actively investing in real estate for almost two decades. She sees real estate investing as an opportunity for individuals, particularly women and immigrants, to establish a positive cash flow and to improve their financial livelihood.

Prior to first visiting Medellin Colombia in August 2006 Rich had a varied United States business background in the real estate, mortgage banking, securities, publishing, and investment banking industries. He holds an undergraduate BBA degree in Chemical Engineering Management from the University of Texas and an MBA from the Ohio State University.

Prior to moving full time to Medellin in 2007 and starting his first real estate company, Rich lived in Naples, Florida for 14 years, Atlanta, Georgia for 11 years, Los Angeles, California for 8 years and Minneapolis MN for two years. He is originally from Texas where he resided for 12 years.

In 2007 Rich started a real estate company called First American Realty Medellin to assist foreigners to purchase properties in Medellin. By 2019 the company had grown from one employee to 110 employees with offices in six cities and three countries under a new company name, Life afar, which had diversified into property management, commercial development, asset management and agriculture. In 2021 Rich left Life afar and launched his new real estate company, Primavera Realty Medellin, to assist foreigners with real estate in Medellin as well as to offer investments in Colombian agriculture.

­­­­­­­Clint was born into a military family, he grew up experiencing many different areas within the United States but calls Warrenton, Virginia home. Shortly after earning his Master’s Degree, Clint joined the U.S. Navy Special Operations and successfully completed Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) school.  His daily job involves defeating Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), conducting deep ocean dives on a mixed-gas rebreather, and briefing high level officials on risks to personnel and critical infrastructure as it pertains to explosive hazards.  After selling his house in San Diego, Clint learned first-hand the power of real estate and jumped straight into multifamily apartment syndications and related mastermind groups. Clint is a member of Legacy Realty Network in San Diego and is a  volunteer for helping wounded and disabled veterans surf through the organization One More Wave.  He currently lives on Oahu, Hawaii with his wife Courtney and their three kids.
