  • International report - How the war on drugs is worsening gender violence in Mexico
This week, we’ve explored gender violence in Mexico. It’s been on the rise for the last few years. Every day, an average of nine women are murdered in the country. In some places, women don’t go out alone, because they fear they’ll be abducted.
This alarming situation is taking place in a country where violence in general has soared in the last twelve years. It is, in part, a result of the never-ending war on drugs.
