In the discussion, James and Zara talk about 'The Great Return', a practical guide on the return from maternity leave, launched by Bloom in 2021.

A recent survey led by Rachel Stern for Bloom UK saw nearly half of first-time industry mums surveyed agree their maternity leave return was ‘more negative than I was expecting’. Crucially, those with negative return experiences were 63% more likely to leave their company within 6 months.

James and Zara talk about the benefits returning mums and parents bring to businesses and what exactly organisations can practically do before, during and after maternity leave to not only hold on to some of their best people, but help them thrive too.
