In December 2006, Arizona police would bring in Ryan Waller for questioning after finding him unconscious in his apartment with his deceased girlfriend on the couch. 

As the interrogation proceeded however, what initially looked like an open and shut case would be anything but. And what looked like a regular black eye on Waller's face, would actually turn out to be something far worse.
