Wanbdi Gdeska, Ihanktonwan. A former drug and alcohol counselor with the Yankton Sioux Tribe, Case manager with the Ponca Tribe, and social worker with the state of iowa. I am currently working with native american inmates as a cultural program director. A former addict I recently celebrated 27 years of sobriety. I have been an activist for years focusing mainly in the areas of addiction, child welfare and also pushing for educating non native community organizations and have been an organizer and facilitator of numerous community outreach efforts and have been a featured speaker and presenter in many areas across the board (lol). Right now I focus my efforts on my new job, writing a book, and helping others find the road to recovery from alcohol and drugs.

This week's Guest! No other than Kristen McKay of Prison Richard! In September 2021 Kristen participated in the first official Southern Manitoba Tour with The Manitoba Arts Network. This was a 9 stop tour with Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities across Southern Manitoba.

Kristen is currently recording her second single with Studio 23 in St Annes Manitoba with Producer Jody Hunter. This 2nd Single is called Black As Night and was written as a tribute to those struggling with addictions. Set to be released Jan 2022.
