The Disability Royal Commission wants to hear from people with disability or their families or carers about their experiences of violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation.

DRAS advocates can assist you to complete your submission in the way you are most comfortable with, in writing, through recording your story or through phone or video link up (where possible). Do you have a question about coronavirus (COVID-19)? Do you need help because things have changed? You can contact the Disability Information Helpline to talk about your concerns in relation to coronavirus (COVID-19), for example if: 

your support worker has not turned up

your provider has stopped services

it’s hard for you to get food, groceries, medications or other essential items

someone close to you has symptoms of coronavirus

you are feeling really upset

anything else is worrying you.

The Helpline is available Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm (AEST) and Saturday and Sunday 9am to 7pm (AEST). It’s not available on national public holidays.

Anyone in community radio knows the fact that the community radio sector would likely collapse if it were not for the dedication of the volunteers who make it possible. This is especially true for Vision Australia Radio network which is made possible by a nation wide base of over 600 volunteers who prepare and present the radio and podcasts that you hear. They are supported by a handful of staff to ensure information is accessible via radio, online and on podcast.

Vision Australia more broadly recognises the work of our volunteers across Australia that support and drive important functions throughout the organisation.
