We welcome Psycho Spice, aka Emmy Mack from one of Australia's rising heavy metal acts, RedHook. It's shaping up to be a defining year for this viciously talented frontwoman, and Emmy starts us off by talking about the early days of performing, including her first band Smokin' Mirrors and the influences of notable acts such as Chester Bennington and Axl Rose. Fast forward to now with RedHook, and joining forces with ther bandmates Craig Wilkinson, Alex Powys, and Ned Jankovic, the quartet have formed a chemistry that has been catching the attention from the likes of Kerrang, Rock Sounds, and even Rolling Stone. Transcendence. A word that's seemingly being redefined out in the hills of Oslo, Norway by a talented individual known as Roman V. We get a chance to speak with Roman about his upbringing and influences that began with him as a fan of literature. In his early days as a poet, it didn't stop there, as his side music project, appropriately titled Bizarrekult, has more than brought out the best in him. He has grasped and transcended the sound of black metal, while adding a unique layer that makes him stand out from the rest. Other artists such as Bathory, Immortal, and Darkthrone to name a few have established their place in the realm; Roman and Bizarrekult are next up, and the outcome does not disappoint in the slightest with the latest album, “Den Tapte Krigen,” roughly translated from Norwegian as “The Lost War.” Roman takes us through this unique journey on the timeline of Bizarrekult, the signing with Season Of Mist, and what composing this music means to him. A big shoutout goes to his wife and his daughter, who are driving forces that have pushed him to become the man he is today. There is an art-form in what Roman conveys, so you'll want to tune in to this interview to find out more than just what's on the surface here. Listen now and be sure to buy and stream Bizarrekult's new masterpiece, “Den Tapte Krigen,” out now worldwide via Season Of Mist Records.

Parody. Satire. Humor. They take comedy seriously. In today's episode we are joined by guitarist, Abdul, from Italian heavy metal outfit, Nanowar Of Steel. Abdul, with a stage name known as Valerio Storch, talks to us about the band's 20th year of playing music with the majority of the lineup still intact. While not an easy thing to do on keeping a consistent lineup over the years, Abdul looks back on the early days of the band and the progression he and his bandmates have taken together. Now signed with a revered label like Napalm Records, Abdul is grateful that the band can continue to cut loose with their bombastic, crude, and fun humor in their lyricism. Other comedic metal acts such as Cannabis Corpse and Spinal Tap have made their trademarks, but now with Nanowar Of Steel, their new album “Dislike To False Metal” will be seeking to make its way to the top in 2023 as many fans will be getting ready to mosh to some the best heavy metal satirical anthems. In contemporary times, we could all use some humor to cut loose. Tune in now and be sure to buy and stream “Dislike To False Metal,” out now everywhere via Napalm Records.

Not only was this Crypta's first ever trip to the US collectively as a touring band, but this interview was also the first to be done on American soil for them. Fernanda describes all the emotional highs she and her bandmates have been through since the band's inception in 2019. From the signing to Napalm Records, to dropping their acclaimed debut album, and to performing at Wacken, all the while garnering tens of thousands of music streams and building a dedicated fanbase in the process, it's been quite the journey and Fernanda has been grateful every step of the way.
