Dave McAndrew shares his journey from growing up the son of a successful high school coach to become a college basketball official who's referee a NCAA National Championship.

After college he had a brief stint coaching women's basketball at the NCAA DIII level before embarking on a 25+ year career as a referee at the HS and college level. Recently Dave started officiating games for "The Big3" and has even been on ESPN's SportsCenter Top 10.

He discusses common misconceptions about officiating, advice for becoming a referee, and advice for interacting with referees.
