We are SO CLOSE to the end of Shadow and Bone, we can smell it! Even though we had some technical issues with this one, we had a great conversation about chapters 19 and 20.
- Most of our listeners seem to agree they should have let Morozova’s stag go, and one of them might just be Julianna’s new best friend
- We noticed a slight issue with the pacing in these two chapters
- Mal and Alina are making up, but is it enough?
- There might have been a more humane alternative when it comes to amplifiers

We are getting SO close to the end of book 1! There will be a lot of talking in these chapters (and on this podcast):

We’re getting close to the end of Shadow and Bone! This week, it’s chapters 15 and 16.

- Last week, fabrikators were opening a craft store. This week, they’re bartenders!
- Mel (not Mal) gives us a possible explanation of how diamonds could have been used to heal Alina
- Mal isn’t perfect, but at least he isn’t manipulating Alina into being a human shield so he can take over the world
- We need to talk about the Volcra, even though it’s sad
- If Baghra is the one who is worried about you, then you know something is wrong
- Praying for you is one thing, but praying TO you while you’re still alive? Wild stuff!
- There’s a reason they won’t promote Mal
- Julianna has an issue with the level of technology. Can’t they think of a faster vehicle than a horse and cart?
- Enjoy the lack of communication between Alina and Mal because it’s going to last a while (but maybe that’s just good writing)
