Hello folks, we are back again, and we are headed west this week to the great state of Texas. Today, we had the pleasure of interviewing Travis Vick. We sat down with the former number 2 player in the 2019 class to talk about his career thus far at UT Austin. Vick has had some great stories about his performances at the 2019 East Lake Cup, when he sealed the deal for the Longhorns and the close call he had at the 2020 NCAA Regionals. He has a great head on his shoulders and is one of my favorites so far!

We talk about his transition from England to Cleveland, TN, almost qualifying for the Open Championship, and his future goals. Korn Ferry Tour Member, Ben Griffin has had a wild ride throughout his professional career. Early on in his career, the former Tar Heel bounced between the Mackenzie and Korn Ferry tours. After stints on these tours, he changed his career path becoming a loan officer in May of 2021. In this episode, he dives deep into his journey of quitting professional golf to become a loan officer then picking golf back up and qualifying for the Korn Ferry Tour (only 5 months removed) . A great story that needs to be heard. We thank him very much for his time. 

AJ Ott, the 2019 Southern Am Champion and former Colorado State Men's Golfer just turned pro after his stellar performance throughout his college career. We unpack his life as a professional golfer and dive into the nit and gritty parts of what it means to him to be a man who plays for a greater purpose than himself. Went through all 5 years he spent at CSU and got to hear from the perspective of the hometown kid what it meant to him to play there. Such a great listen.

This was our favorite episode that we have produced at Into the Grain to this point. We take a look at the recent Golf Digest Top 30 rankings for the state of Georgia. We heavily debated these rankings and had a lot of fun doing it. Hope you all enjoy this episode.
