George Bickers of Three Sails Studios joins us in the Greenwood to discuss the self-described "love letter to his working class rage" that is the new ttrpg Gallows Corner.
Along the way we also discuss the company's first game, the award-winning Mappa Mundi, and their underlying connective philosophy relating to how the purposeful manufacturing of space can let us create the worlds that we want for our future.

There’s nothing in the lively and pop-music infused Robin Hood pantomime performances or in 'The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood' by Howard Pyle that speaks of winter time or the Christmas holiday, but in his book ‘Christmastime Texts and the Popularity of the Robin Hood Tradition’, professor Alex Kaufman lays out the history behind how that book and Robin Hood pantomime performances came to be part of the Christmas tradition and, despite all of their color and greenery, can be considered part of what he has deemed the Winterwood.

While on this podcast we often use Robin Hood as a lens for learning more about folklore or the medieval past, it is is the enduring applicability of how we have come to understand the figure that keeps him relevant. To that end, I reached out to a friend of mine after hearing about the beatings and abuse he'd received at the hands of law enforcement officers for simply exercising his right of Free Speech.
Finn Hardy joins me in the greenwood to discuss the reality of what's been happening on the streets of Chicago during the fall of 2025.

Special guest Chris Schweizer joins us in the Greenwood for the Robin Hood film that can't NOT get compared to the Kevin Costner-led juggernaut that came out the same year.
Does this Patrick Bergin and Uma Thurman-led film deserve its cult-like status amongst Robin Hood aficionados or should it linger in obscurity?
Join us as we unpack this film and its attempts to thread the needle between authentic medievalism and swashbuckling adventure!
