Welcome back to the Into the Nerdiverse podcast! In this week's (short) episode the boys explain how Nobody Saves The World manages to make a slug with laser eyes a compelling character, the OG game that the boys are excited for, and the game that broke Rob's faith in humanity - so he broke the disc!
Hello and welcome back to the Into the Nerdiverse podcast!
This week's a bumper episode where both of the boys go through some of the best stuff releasing in books, TV, video games, film, music and comics.
Find out what Scott and Rob think of the Horizon game series' horrendous release date luck, Dave Grohl's The Storyteller, Becky Chambers' A Psalm for the Wild Built, Tails of Iron on Switch and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's DLC tracks, 4-panel web comics, DC's 3 Jokers story arc, Bloodborne's Death of Sleep, Apple TV's Ted Lasso, Mythic Quest and Severance.
Rob takes us back to A Bridge Too Far, whilst Scott's tastes mature with Chip 'n' Dale's Rescue Rangers, they discuss Bloodywood's Rakashak album, Rolo Tomassi, and Everything Everything and Foals!
Thank you if you read this far. You're the real MVP.
Enjoy!
Here we go again...
After a lengthy hiatus, the ITN boys are back with the first episode of the new season with some straight up fire recommendations and a roundup of what they've been up to in 2022 so far.
Find out why there's been almost 6 months since the boys last recorded and what you should be listening to, reading, watching and playing.
This week Rob talks about a national hero telling Edwardian stories, a web comic containing various cursed swords and a post hardcore band with a lovely name. Scott on the other hand reviews an indie Dodgeball game, Venom: let there be carnage and an already cancelled netflix show that wasn't cancelled at the time of recording.
Were back after a few weeks (Scott took ages editing so basically its a time travel episode).
We talk about Biffy Clyro, Metroid Dread, Sketch shows, genre manipulating comics and books and James Bond. So many good vibes and recommendations this episode.
We once again ask each other 5 questions and this time it gets weird(er).
Plumbing, Mermaids, Heists and Song Lyrics.
This episode is sponsored by Australia.
Awwwww Man. This week we review the long awaited sequel to one of Scotts favorite films of all time. Give it a listen and see if we enjoyed it.
(spoiler alert- we didn't)
Last week Rob and Scott went on adventure - their first cinema trip together for over a year! Find out what they made of James Gunn's The Suicide Squad soft reboot, how they managed with new digital technology (or didn't) and who the real MVP of the film was... The answer may surprise you!
Scott and Rob ask each other 5 questions each to try and unpack a bit more of what makes the other man tick. Mainly nerd related questions, but the usual tangents are here too.
Listen, Rate and Review.
This episode contains an E3 rundown, Scott's first trip back to the cinema, Rob's obsession with a band called Spirit Box, a really addictive board game as well as a very addictive book about gaming.
Rob takes a unique route on his comics review and Scott talks about anime vampires in form of the Netflix Castlevania series.
Warning, this episode might sound like we are underwater in parts, it also might not, we've done our best to fix the sound. Enjoy!!
