Into the Pray episodes

  • Legit Online Community (feat. Christopher Mantei)

This week on Into the Pray, we’re delighted to welcome dear friend Christopher Mantei.

Christopher serves as pastor in his local church in Delaware, USA, is the author of “Flee to the Mountains - The Church’s Responsibility to Israel in the last 7 Years of the Age”, as well as leading the ministry Wings of the Eagle and the End Time Church community/app.

Nick has had the joy of being friends with Christopher for several years, is often in touch online and even met in Israel earlier this year to sup over-priced Israeli beer in a hotel bar.

We wanted to hear Christopher’s heart this week not only because he's leading the way with online discipleship, but also because he has a beautiful sensitivity to the Lord - and boldness to stand out - that we trust and admire.

Regarding all the uncertainty of the present and the future, we say a hearty "amen" with Christopher as he prays, "You're there at the end and You're here with us now."

We hope you enjoy the conversation this week! Please let us know, subscribe, and tell a friend.

Our own JesusCome! app will be launched, God willing, in October. Full details, including how you can get involved are here:

p.s. Note for 52:25 - The book of Daniel (especially 7:21) makes it abundantly clear (despite triumphalist "christian" nonsense) that, at the end, Satan WILL be permitted to give the anti-Christ power not only over the world but over the true Church (ekklesia). As friend Dalton Thomas says, "The Church are called to endure not escape". This is what we are all preparing for...

Catch up on the centrality of Israel during the end of the age. You can buy Christopher's phenomenal book via Amazon...in paperback and for Kindle versions.

  • Spelling the End of Facebook

    Greetings, Everyone!

This week on Into the Pray, in what is a slight detour from our plan from last week, we have a special announcement to make!

When you've listened to this episode, please do share with a couple of friends and also subscribe to our mailing list here to get all of the associated info about the announcement!

    Sign-up by copying/pasting: http://eepurl.com/dnJrbL

Thank you to all of you who support this podcast and please do consider being part of this moving forwards.

Online Christian community must stop being wholly synonymous with Facebook. There is far too much wasted time, nonsense and control. (Here’s a case in point from the Scottish Government: https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/could-possession-of-the-bible-become-an-offence-in-scotland )

The world will not be prepared for the return of Christ until the people of God are prepared for the return of Christ.

  • Relational Alignment & the Gift of Prophecy

When we say that, "The no.1 collateral damage for the prophetic messenger is relationship"....what do we mean?

We thought the best way to answer this is to give a bit of insight into the first 8 years of our married lives/public ministry together.

On our wedding day, it was prophesied over us that we would "live loud" for God, and that we would be reformers in the spirit of Jeremiah 33.

This is the calling of all of us today, in one form or another.

We talk about marriage quite a bit in this episode - mainly because it's preeminently important as a socio-cultural issue in our disintegrating world - but we will also be doing more specific content on marriage later in this season... biblical illiteracy is rife.

If the redefinition of marriage in 2014 was the litmus test to gauge the prophetic eagerness of the Church, God knows that we urgently need a new Reformation. COVID-19 is surely a rousing, coffee-smelling gift to the Body of Christ.

It's our longing that as we have given just a little glimpse into the path that we have travelled, including a little detail about the collateral damage in relationship that we've experienced, we trust that you will be provoked into more wholeheartedness in prioritising, loving and following Jesus.

He's coming; we must get ready.

Please share this for us! Please also get in touch with questions and thoughts and suggestions for guests you'd like to hear on the show.

Next week we'll be poring more over 1 Corinthians and Ephesians, so why not tell a mate?

    Until next week...

  • Eagerly Desiring the Gift of Prophecy

In this week's episode of Into the Pray, at the beginning of this new season we've called "Work for Reformers", we begin to think and talk about the gift of prophecy.

In 1 Corinthians 14:1, Paul tells us all to "Follow the way of love and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit, especially prophecy."

So what happens when the Church don't do that? What happens when we don't eagerly desire, receive or move in the gift of prophecy?

Central to the work of all reformers in breaching the chaos of the Church is this much-maligned gift of the Spirit of God....oh, how we need His unction as we go about the rest of our lives.

Broadly speaking, this week's episode is split into 4 sections, with the fourth section dropping next week.

Please don't believe that the gift of prophecy is for someone else. What if He is wanting to give you the gift of prophecy right now? Mightn't that change everything?

We pray that you would give Your gift, precious Spirit...oh, compel us, urge us, "unction us" as we yearn for Jesus to come.

    1. What Prophecy is and isn't.

    2. What's the big deal with dispensation?

    3. The landscape of the Church now.

    NEXT week

    4. The No.1 Collateral Damage of Prophetic Messengers (Nick and Mairi's testimony)

  • Season 2: Work For Reformers (Intro)

Into the Pray is back with Season 2!

This is the intro episode for the brand-new season that we're calling, "Work for Reformers".

The prophetic people of God are often paralysed by a fear of youth and inexperience and a political spirit that wants us safe, controlled, predictable, quiet, silent, impotent and lukewarm.

But our Bible tells us to eagerly desire the gifts that the Spirit gives (still He does this: present, continuous), especially the specific gift of prophecy.

Guys, this is for all of us, not just one sinewy figure of mystery who approaches a king or queen occasionally.

Think about the prophetic people of God assembling for a new thrust of reformation! A new, historic receiving of the gift of prophecy, en masse, that would be capable of uprooting the rotten roots of theology and of ecclesiology etc that destabilises the whole Bride.

Apologies because we forgot to read out Mairi’s very neat writing from her notebook for the areas we’ll be covering over this season, so here they are:

    • forgiveness and reconciliation are not the same thing
    • The damage of Christians calling for forgiveness while obstructing reconciliation
    • Jesus puts dialogue at the centre of reconciliation. What makes good dialogue?
    • False notion that some relationship is better than none
    • Family relationships
    • Romantic relationships
    • Knowing that you need to forgive someone but not sure how
    • Marriage - when a new union is made changes happen in relationships. The principle of leaving and cleaving
    • Resisting forgiveness and the result of prayerlessness
    • God knowing your heart vs people seeing your life

Please let us know if there are any other areas that you’d like us to dig into!

Check back for episode one next Friday (6am), oh, and please leave us a review and tell a friend.

  • Our Top 7 Daily Prayers

In this final "outro" episode of the first series of Into the Pray, Nick Franks summarises 7 of the main prayers that he and Mairi pray on a daily basis.

As the COVID-19 lockdown lifts across the West, as summer begins to pop, please don't confuse the changing natural seasons with the activity of the spiritual realm - the heavenlies - and what's really unfolding beyond our natural senses of ear and eye and nose and mouth.

Instead, let us be like weak and imperfect fishermen who are able to look at the skies and understand what's to come next...let us be like the Berean Jews who take their cues from Scripture only.

Season 2 of Into the Pray will resume in 4 weeks time. In the meantime, please catch up on all episodes, guests and testimonies that have dropped.

  • The Viral Spread of Maranatha: The Beating Heart of Global Worship (feat. Ryan Kondo)

On the Into the Pray #podcast this week, we’re joined by Ryan Kondo, a bro from t’other side of the large, oceanic mass (we did say that we don’t like overused, meaningless cliche!).

Bringing with him a mighty wealth of experience leading worship and pastoring teams around the world, we’re so pumped to host him in this convo.

All of us tracking with these podcasts over the last 2.5 months have had an earful about the chaos in the Body, the ensuing chaos unfolding in the world and the double-minded Church that would prefer to sing songs of blessing at this time rather than bow the knee.

    Seriously.

The emerging division within the Body of Christ - even concerning this one solitary issue of repentance - is only going to accelerate and accumulate, until finally the Bride is fully prepared in corporate harmony, singing “Come, Lord Jesus!”

So we’ve focused enough (for now) on the chaos and now we’re pivoting into more of a hopeful sense of what Father God is planning.

This preparation of the Body of Christ for His return is impossible without this prescribed prophetic polemic, but is also a very hard gig for anyone who is faithful in responding to it.

This is why we talk this week to Ryan who is very qualified indeed to help us all in learning that the oiliness of anointed, lingering, prayerful worship is to be found at the very epicentre of a radical preparation for the return of Christ - the very heartbeat of “Maranatha!”

Despite the warfare, the rebuke, the admonition, and because of the pressure and pressing and breaking, we need to understand that singing and musicianship and corporate worship are just beginning to really find their place on Earth.

Beloved, He is en route and, although some of us might think that we understand how to worship, we actually think we’re only just starting.

Ryans’s song that he mentions at the end is found here:

  • The Redefinition of Christianity in One Generation (feat. Jonathan Boegl)

In this week’s episode of Into the Pray we are massively blessed to speak with Jonathan Boegl from Arizona, USA.

Jonathan brings the weight 20+ years of experience in pastoral ministry, including a decade of involvement with the International House of Prayer in Kansas City.

We connected with Jonathan recently because of our profound agreement regarding what the Lord is saying and emphasising to the Church at this point of history.

Jonathan is a father who is postured in tender-heartedness towards the sons and in agreement with what we believe God is saying in this hour.

This very much includes the rebuke of the response of the fathers (and the sons) at this hour who attack and even mock the word of the Lord that calls for repentance.

  • The Viral Distraction of the "UK Blessing"

In this eighth episode of Into the Pray, and our mini-series Chaos, we take our social media lives into our hands by challenging whether God's voice for us at this time is really heard by listening to the UK Blessing video that has now had more than 2 million views on YouTube.

Isn’t it profoundly naive to think that the spiritual narratives that are receiving awards from tabloids and Prime Ministers are even close to what God is saying?

Instead, imagine if BoJo saw a viral Christian video calling the U.K. Church to repent over the “redefinition of marriage”, the calamity of abortion and the incomprehensibly tragic gender disaster.

    Go ahead!

Imagine if our national leaders today saw a Church truly uniting in holy accord and agreement around the things that God says about God and our repentance of the fact that we have spent centuries not doing this.

    IMAGINE THAT!

Rather, as we argue, isn't it the case that the pop video in question has proven to be a viral distraction for a national U.K. landscape that is very much lacking either the clarity or courage of leadership to pave the way for us all to go where we really need to be?

Please think carefully - and biblically - before commenting or getting in touch: what is your conviction about this specific issue actually based on?

The remarkable, life-changing message that we cite from Ugandan leader John Mulinde can be seen here

  • 7 Reasons We Must Seek Proportional Repentance & Reform

In this seventh episode of the mini-series Chaos, Nick and Mairi Franks remind us all that there are very specific realities that we should all be prepared to point to for anyone who is genuinely having their eyes opened to the urgent work of Spirit-led reform underway within the Body of Christ.

But not everyone who asks a question (or leaves a comment) is genuinely in a place of humility to hear the answers that the Coming King would have us hear.

There are always token gestures to the things of God but, for those who are willing to hear, there remains a proportional response of repentance.

    Repent from what?

The glaringly obvious - and heinous - realities in the Church and in the world that the Body of Christ are being awoken to but who are also largely ignorant of.

The key question is, "Are we prepared, are we willing to come into new places of humility before God that are open to see sin as He sees sin, and feel about sin as He feels about sin?"

Anything less than this is child's play. God knows we need more men and women who will be fit and able to parent the next generation of Holy Reformers as His coming draws nearer.

For more information about the public, four-hour-long reading of the book of Jeremiah, please see a new vision film by Googling "Vimeo" and "Nicholas Paul Franks".
