This week on Into the Pray we get a bit more gutsy with Steve Buckley in discussing the following:
- The unique history that Britain has as regards to Israel and the Jewish people
- The unique role that Britain may again play as the bride is prepared for His coming
- Forms of leadership in the “church” that simply will no longer cut it moving into the brave new, post COVID-19 world
- Two main types of Father in the days ahead (btw, interesting fact: in Aramaic, Maranatha is pronounced like Father in English... ie like posh Steve Buckley...I stand corrected)
-Nick’s illness in Israel and why this might even be a prophetic sign in and of itself
Until next week,
Maranatha

In this fifth episode of Into the Pray, we hover, we pore, we linger over a well-known/not-well-known word that we have no doubt is 'the' word and what the living, returning Christ is bellowing to His sleepy, arrogant, bewitched body on Earth.
Drawing briefly on the pop 'wisdom' soundbites of some leading experts in their field, (philosophy and parenting), we take a direct 'in the mirror' look at two of the common responses to COVID-19, one of which is particularly foolish and that all-too uncannily reflects the folly of the Church as we grapple with the questions, "What is God saying?" and "What should we be doing?".
The fact that the Church is in widespread chaos, especially in the West, warrants an unhurried, meandering stroll - if you like - through the ruins of the ancient ways that Jeremiah banged on about.
We love Jeremiah, especially the tears he was known for shedding.
We need more tears.
Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be picking back up where we left off with Steve Buckley and John Hampton.

“Seeker-sensitive Shambles” and “The British Burden for an Israeli Ignorance" were also strong contenders as titles for this week's episode of Into the Pray, featuring my posh Mancunian mate, Steve Buckley.
Continuing our mini-series “Chaos” (looking around the mess of the Church), what place does Israel have within what God’s doing? Have you even asked that question before?
Steve and I actually met in Israel at an Israeli bar drinking very expensive Israeli beer (not on the quietly lapping shores of the Sea of Galilee, eating some freshly roasted peanuts).
It was cool, though.... it was Steve's round.
In this week's episode, Steve brings beefy authority and wisdom regarding one of the most chaotic aspects of the British "church".... ie the arrogant British ignorance regarding the land and people of Israel.
This will hopefully whet your appetite for part B next week and you can check out some of Steve's very helpful vlogs by clicking here.
If you also share our passion to prayerfully see the chaos of the Church breached, please help us out by subscribing, reviewing and sharing this podcast.
“Body Zero - Radical Preparation for the Return of Christ” (paperback or ebook) available here.

This week we're excited to introduce you to an English author called John Hampton in the third part of our mini-series simply entitled "Chaos".
We wanted to feature John on Into the Pray as quickly as possible because his book Mere Churchianity is THAT important...we like to think of it as a manifesto of the kingdom and certainly a book that should be at the very top of everyone's reading list during quarantine. [That and Body Zero ;)]
What's the big issue? What's the problem, Franks? Well, let me tell you what the problem is: the disaster of discipleship that now exists due to the staggering reality that the way we have always understood the "church", (our ecclesiastical practices, our beliefs, our rhythms and theologies), are completely wrong because (much more often that we will want to admit) they do not reflect the Bible that we say we believe and love and, specifically, the power and glory - and suffering - of the New Testament that I think we all yearn for.
Should this bother you? Yes, you should be deeply disturbed and disrupted.
In Into the Pray S1E3, you'll learn about the all-important Greek word, ekklesia, that William Tyndale died for and that King Henry refused to include in the English translation of the Bible in the mid-sixteenth Century.
God is leadings us back to the ancient paths but, before we get there, we have to ask ourselves in postures of historic repentance, "When/How/Why have we ever got to where we are now?".
John will feature again soon on Into the Pray but please mark my words: we will not have revival without repentance.
We're deeply grateful for John's work in this area that helps us all further along the road to Jesus Come.
Please get in touch and let us know your thoughts/comments/questions.

The other phenomenal book that Nick and Mairi chat about at the beginning of this episode is called The Unseen Realm written by Michael Heiser. You can buy this here and is particularly good as an audiobook.

This is the second part of our mini-series entitled, "Chaos".
What do King Théoden and Gandalf have to do with the ekklesia at this pivotal point in history?
In this week’s second episode of “Into the Pray”, we go through a list of the top 10 reasons that people commonly push back against the conscience-level decision of leaving the institutionalised “church” for the hope of something actually biblical.
There’s also an “essential read” feature from an American chap who’s written a shed-load of books.
We know that we haven't gone into heaps of info for each of these top ten objections, so please let us know your thoughts, questions, comments etc and please do take 2 mins to subscribe and write a wee review for us!

(This is the first part of a multi-part mini-series [episodes TBC] called Chaos).
In this first full-length episode of Into the Pray - Breaching the Chaos of the Church, Nick and Mairi Franks jump more deeply into the chaos that is the Church - the Body of Christ on the earth.
Why do we consider the "church" to be chaotic? What is it more precisely that needs to be breached? What are the walls that need to be demolished? Why can't we see the wood for the trees?
Drop your comments below and please subscribe and review this podcast on Apple/Android platforms.
Next week in S1/E2, we'll continue to get more specific about the chaos that we believe needs to be breached in order for us all to grow into what it really means to be a genuine disciple of Yeshua, a vital member of the true ekklesia.
One of our values, at all costs, is to avoid cliche. We want to be as clear and as specific and as precise as possible. We can't stand generic language and generalisations that don't help anyone.
We also want to be real and honest and transparent about the things that we have zero doubt are the things that we're on the planet to call forth.
Guys, we are on the cusp of eternity and the world will not be ready for the return of Christ until the ekklesia are ready for the return of Christ.
Maranatha... we pray with the Spirit, "Come, Lord Jesus"
Episode notes:
- You can buy ebook and paperback versions of Body Zero here: http://bodyzerobook.com
- The correct verse that Nick mentions from John's gospel around 33:19 is John 12:24

Welcome to the initial "intro" episode of Into the Pray, a new weekly podcast hosted by Nick and Mairi Franks.
Following on from the groundbreaking book of 2019, Body Zero (www.bodyzerobook.com), Into the Pray is our next step beyond the institution of denomination, past 'the point of no return' and specifically towards awakening the ancient prayer of Maranatha.
In this initial intro, find out where the title "Into the Pray" came from and what it has to do with Liam Neeson and a shed-load of monstrous wolves.
Please don't miss "The Draft - A Conscription of Conscience" - a new film for the chaos that is the Church.
Jesus is coming and the world will not be ready until the Body of Christ are ready.
No holds barred; no 'non-negotiables'.
Be glorified, Dear Father God.
Maranatha.
