COVID-19, Session Unified Decisions and Why We do What We Do?

In this episode we hear how several ministers coming on staff were vital to the continued growth in the church as well as how every staff member is a part of the ministry's success. The advice from a seasoned minister (William "Willie" Still) to a young minister, in the thick of conflict, has impacted the ministry at IPC and the longevity of our current senior minister.

Today we hear about Terry Johnson's candidating and the split vote. He seeks counsel on whether he should accept the call with a split vote. He shares his conviction about remaining in a church where he can be a part of one's birth, baptism, marrying, and burying. He also shares about the Twin Lakes Fellowship .

What convictions were formed early on? Finding your first call? Time with Dr. Baird. Internship to Preaching regularly. And falling in love. Another mailbag question answered.

Psalm-singing for the first time. Dr. Packer bussing tables at Trinity College. Alec Motyer's prayers at meals. Dr. Johnson's time at Gordon-Conwell. Into the mailbag to answer a question about the Westminster Confession of Faith and their desire to go to Univ of St. Andrews with a solid Christian faith.

This week's 'Into the Study' episode we hear of Dr. Johnson's early days and time spent in the UK and how his convictions came along for expositional preaching, time with Willie Still, and his prayer life.
