I'm getting annoyed at how folks think that being an introvert and being shy are interchangeable. They're totally different! Being "shy" describes a certain kind of characteristic whereas being an "introvert" shows something a bit different. You can be a shy extrovert and vice versa!

In this episode, I go on into discussing how they're different. My goal is to convince you that being shy is not exclusive to introverts. It's a characteristic, not a personality. Hopefully, that makes sense. Just listen to the episode!

DO DIFFICULT THINGS. 

That way, things that are considered "difficult" in the future will be much easier. When I went through college, computer science was one of the most difficult and time-consuming majors, but, I got through and every other subject I learned after was a breeze. 

When you allow yourself to do the hard stuff first, you set a standard for yourself that allows for other things to come at an ease. Do the difficult work and your life will be easy.

How did it all happen? How did I get myself out of the slump of being awkward and shy? Something clicked within me after a few years that I can't entirely explain, but it all began with realizing that I needed to simply take ownership of who I was and learn from it, and then move forward. Take ownership of who you are but know that it's not the end all be all, you can grow, you can overcome that awkwardness!
