War, What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing. 

Do you believe that we can have the power to, not only learn to 
Love and understand ourselves better, but also each other?
I do- and I actually know its possible, because I am doing it.
And in this episode, I tell you much more confidently what I know…
And Knwoing is half the battle!

So what the other half?
SO much of my childhood was cool propaganda, that now see- left out some important pieces in the name of being “catchy” or popular.
But then there’s no true purpose behind those cool words, just ambiguity.

I’m here with my Non-ambiuiosly “gay-happy” duo
 of embracing my shadow and light to share my PSA; that if 
Knwoing is half the battle, *DOING must be the other half.

It’s not enough to just Know something, we must act on it, Bravely
Confidently and with our mindful hearts.
Yes, its no quick fix and you’re invited to do your part to start healing the
World, Make it a better place.
For you and for me, and the entire human race….

But the choice is ALWAYS yours-
AND, it’s the CHOICE, or a new Generation.

Ready to turn your Tears for Fears, into Tears of Joy?
Easier said than done right? 
I’m in the middle of this practice myself. 

There’s another song I thought of by the band 
Mihali, Called “Breathe and Let go.”
Both have been in my current rotation and they both play to
my feelings at the moment.

Life can feel so hard, especially if you’re driven to make change, 
if you’re not satisfied with the “Status Quo.”

“High time we made a stand and shook up the views of the common man…” and As this song continues to educate on planting Seeds of Love-

I’m shouting a smidge at the end here, because we do have more power than we realize, to make REAL lasting changes in our lives and our country.
Stop looking to other people for accountability and make sure you’re giving it to yourself.

Our minds are SO powerful If we truly BELIEVE we can make a difference, 
And we intentionally work towards it, we can.
We just CAN! 

TRUE or High?

… Because we can’t truly expect anyone else to complete us.
Even though it’s a nice thought.

But we’re all on our individual “hero’s journey’ and it’s all about self discovery. So how could a partner, no matter how attentive and wonderful, guide you to yourself if you’re not willing to first take a look?

We luckily are not alone in any of it, nor are we meant to Be, but it’s a delicate balance of self and others. Not like in LOST, where “the others” do try to kill you… 
Ok I drive a lot  and have almost been hit many times, We are in a war and I just got divorced, so guess I can’t actually sugar coat this
There are people out there who cause pain and hurt. Some even on purpose, but I choose to still see the good, the hope, the opptomisim that with a little more love and understanding, we can finally uncover the reasons behind those wounds. 
I do believe only Hurt people, hurt people.  People who aren’t aware of their behavior, hurt people unknowingly, but Healed people, Also want to help Heal people.

I’m both. 
I was working through my own pain yesterday when I created this and last night, I faced a big challenge. Even listening back to myself here, helped remind me, I really do want to continue in Love and not let the much validated anger I feel inside of me take control. 
NOPE, I’m more powerful than fear and anger.
Finally, and I think we all can be.

I did all three as a kid, & mostly now I sing to myself.
It’s crazy that sometimes, songs sing back.

 So, Happy Father’s Day weekend to all of you! I’m not a Dad, but I am a PIC to one, so I do see how hard it is. On be half of Moms and kind ex’s everywhere,  I want to say
A collective, “Thank you” to All men who show up for their kids.
My specific  ex included.
Our kids helped us finally rip off the band aids that kept us stuck in karmic patterns… Luckily we watched Lord of the Rings and Fast and Furious enough to understand, Family has nothing to do with paperwork….

Really nothing does. 
Paperwork, contracts, Control over ownership of a person doesn’t exist. 
Like Santa, it’s a nice story till becomes a dangerous lie. To believe and give power to things that are deceitful, even if was well meaning, *once. 
(*For you Letter Kenny Fans out there).

The choice is yours to grow up and embody the Santa your parents did, or (Christ or Whatever figure works for you, Trump? I personally don’t understand that one, but I know my Dad loved me, even if he wasn’t around so much. Sorry to all you who relate.) 
And yes, apologies to my attorney Father, you’re  retired now so less paperwork in the world doesn’t affect you anyway. 
Beside its mostly docu sign these days… 
We’re evolving, Let’s all do our best to keep up!

I almost titled it White Flag, after the Dido song.   I don’t mind being your 
“Oh Captain My  Captain”, but not one who sacrifices themselves to go down
 with this ship.
I no longer see the point in that. There is a White Flag on my door- because I find that concept ridiculous. There’s no Honor is self sacrifice in the name of a Natural Disaster, like a storm at Sea. 
You think you can control it? Have Fun!

Goodies Never say Die and I’ve got a Mouth full of gems. 
I’m jumping ship, with those and the pennies from my childhood wishing well, and walking along the beach to brighter days ahead. 

I almost titled it a mash up of “I’m Only Sleeping & Eleanor Rigby” by the Beatles.
Same concept but with the reality of Exposè that Seasons change, People change.
And How well do we handle it?
Do we face it, Surrender to its Power?  Or try to manipulate it like a Mad Queen of broken Hearts. Lonely, Afraid and Unable to connect.

Or Are you more like ME and the other 10.000 Maniacs
 who “Know its true, That you;
Are blessed and Lucky. 
That YOU, are touched by something…”
Is it the Mad Hatter? So many people on our Journey in Life, our Chosen Adventure seem “Mad” these days.
 Are you one of them? Holding on of our Fear of the Future,
Or Do you know How it was meant to be?

“What’s on your mind?”
“I want to know what you’re thinking/ feeling. 
There are some things you can’t hide..”
And that’s our pain, our fears. 

We may think we’re masking them, but we’re not.
None of us completely.
We’re ALL Still learning how to play this game of life,
And making the rules up as we go.

So as we continue doing what’s in each of us to do,
… (grow, love, evolve, learn)
Let’s remember,
“The only thing WE have to fear- IS truly fear itself”
Not each other, not ourselves.

Surprise Surprise!

I wasn’t expecting this episode yet either, but here we are.
 A no sleep tired chat just popped out yesterday morning, as I am experiencing this “nocturnal” movie making lifestyle.

Working this film has already shown me, not only the power of a good cast and storyline- but the beauty and connection we all receive when we truly show up and are open to collaboration.

I did end up watching Dead Poets Society and these themes were reinforced in such a profound way, I won’t do it justice.
I highly encourage a watch, re-watch…. I’ve seen it so many times myself, it first came out when I was 8.
And I can see now, so many ways it’s impacted me.
Robin Williams performance, the way he opens these boys to the beauty, magic and power inside them all-
And yet, his brilliant and personalized approach still gets bastardized by those with fear of nonconformity.
Fear of new thinking.
The message is even more important now,
 I feel-
