Anna Howie is a country singer/songwriter whose storytelling words and gorgeous melodies add up to a whole lot more than 3 chords and the truth. Earlier this year Anna released an EP 'An Idiot's Guide To Love' which hit the dizzy heights of No5 in the UK Country Charts! Recorded in Nashville it showcases her classy 'UK meets Americana' songs in the company of top local session players. On this podcast Anna is joined by guitar player and songwriter Andy Evans who also helps out on backing vocals.

He is also responsible for artist bookings at Redbourn Folk Club (Herts) where they have a fortnightly guest slot. Malcolm talks to host Jon Bickley about the processes involved. How does it work? What are the pressures?

Veteran folk multi-tasker Barry Goodman is a singer, musician, songwriter, dance caller and folk arts educator. In this podcast he talks eloquently about his long musical career which ran in parallel with teaching primary school children for many years. He will be known to many as the melodeon playing half of folk duo Life & Times along with singer/songwriter Graeme Meek. Since Life & Times ceased operation in 2015 Barry has developed a wide ranging and successful solo career.

Pete Castle is a folk singer, storyteller and former Bedfordshire resident (1976-87) who collected many songs of local origin. This recording at The Higgins, Bedford (25th May 2019) was an event supporting 'From Bunyan to Brickworks' an exhibition at the museum. Invisible Folk curated a mini folk festival which ran throughout the day. The weather was glorious and the music was great. Pete Castle was the final act, it was the first time he had performed in his former home county for many years.

Paul Mosley is a multi-talented songwriter/composer/arranger equally at home playing his songs on Ukulele or with a 16 piece orchestra. He arrived at the Invisible Folk Club with piano and ukulele, but without the 16 piece orchestra! His songs are infectious, funny, moving, and various other complimentary adjectives in between. Paul's new album 'You're Going To Die' was released 11th October 2019. It is his most personal and striking album, it is a life affirming kaleidoscope of beauty and joy!
