We live in a world where most people think they see things clearly. If we don't know something, Google, Alexa, or Siri will tell us the truth. But what if many who think we know things, who think we see, are actually blind? In today's passage, we will listen in on an investigation concerning Jesus and the "man who now sees." The reality is that many who think they see may actually be blind while those who know they're blind can be given sight.

John 9:1-12

Many People wold claim to be children of God who believe in God and who will be admitted by God into heacen when they die. But what if we dug deeper and asked some more questions and did some life examination. In todya's passage, we will find that what we hear and believe and do about Jesus and His word reveals awho our Father is and determines how we will experience death.

In today's passage, we'll hear Jesus say "you will know the truth and the truth will set you free." We live in a world where people like to think that their own favorite version of the truth can be used to set them free from whatever they want to be set free from. But taken in context, what does Jesus mean? is He talking about any truth and any kind of freedom or is He talking about a specific truth that brings about a specific freedom?

It is easy to notice and point out sin in others while failing to acknowledge our own sin. We are prone to practicing "selective condemnation." But the truth is we all sin and deserve condemnation. We need Jesus to remind us that we're all sinners and that it's only Him who can take the condemnation we deserve so that we can be forgiven. And then, having received his mercy, we must also hear His call to holiness.
