As one of San Diego’s most renowned celebrity chefs, Deborah Scott is known
for her diverse tastes and ability to create innovative dishes with an emphasis on
presentation. Chef Scott first caught the eye of restaurateurs David and Lesley
Cohn in 1995 when her affinity for fusion landed her as the head of Kemo Sabe,
the Pacific Rim infused concept formerly housed in Hillcrest.

Her latest endeavor and most ambitious project to date, Coasterra, opened in
August 2015 directly adjacent to C Level/Island Prime. A project nearly a decade
in the making, Coasterra is a $15+ million bayfront modern Mexican restaurant,
lounge, and event space on Harbor Island. With Chef Deborah at the helm, the
28,000 square-foot venue offers a compelling combination of panoramic views of
San Diego’s downtown skyline, carefully crafted Mexican dishes, and tequila-
focused cocktails.

Professor Mike Canada – Mike Canada is currently the Chair and Associate Professor of Unmanned Aerial Systems and Applied Sciences at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott Arizona.

Mike and his wife Caroline have lived in Coronado for over twenty years. They have three children Jack (a CHS graduate 2020 and current student at Embry-Riddle), Kahlia (a 2022 CHS graduate) and Gabrielle (currently a Freshman at CHS). In his spare time Mike is a semi-professional drummer and percussionist playing in pit orchestras in San Diego and as a studio musician backing various musicians.

Mary Johnson has been a Community Outreach & Education Specialist for St. Paul Senior Services for 8 + years. Prior to joining St. Paul’s, Mary enjoyed a career as a multi-agency
underwriter in the mortgage banking industry. Following her passion to work with seniors, she completed a degree in Gerontology at San Diego State University (Go Aztecs!) which included an internship with Aging and Independence Services/County of San Diego.

Andrea Rojas has been an Activities Coordinator/Memory Care Specialist for St. Paul Senior Services for 4 + years. She is an experienced community and social services professional with a rich history of working in the non-profit organization industry. Skilled in Alzheimer’s care, compassion, respite, and
hospitality.

Fire Chief Harry Muns | City of Chula Vista
Harry Muns was appointed Fire Chief on December 31, 2020. In 1991 Chief Muns was introduced to the fire service as a Fire Explorer with the La Mesa and San Miguel Fire Departments and then became a seasonal firefighter in 1995 with the California Department of Forestry in the San Diego (Monte Vista) Ranger Unit.

Colonel Christian Ellinger serves as the Command Inspector General for the Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, California and the Western Recruiting Region. He has served 30 years on active duty.

Roxana Kennedy, Chula Vista Chief of Police.
On December 30, 2016, Roxana Kennedy was appointed as the City of Chula Vista’s 24th Chief of Police. Chief Kennedy began her law enforcement career in 1992 after graduating from the Southwestern College Police Academy. She rose through the ranks to become the first female Chief of Police for the City of Chula Vista.

David Dunn was born and raised in San Diego and attended Morse High where he was a standout football and basketball player. He went on to play football at Bakersfield college. Then transferred to Fresno State and played ball there. in 1994/95 he was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 5th round of the NFL draft. He played seven years in the NFL, retiring in 2001. He accepted the Head Coaching Football position at Lincoln in 2011. In 2012, only his second year as head coach, coach Dunn won D3 CIF. Coach Dunn is dedicated to improving the overall student/athlete at Lincoln High and is respected by all in the community.

Jim Holden is the founder of Fish for Life. Spreading The Love One Boat at a Time. Fish for Life is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Southern California. Our charter is to enhance the lives of special needs individuals by providing a complimentary fishing trip on the sea for them to enjoy.

This program is designed to provide love and inspiration to a multitude of special needs people while teaching fishing skills and creating memorable experiences.
