Council member Ron Morrison is running for Mayor of National City. Ron is a lifelong resident of National City and its immediate vicinity. Growing up in National City, San Diego County’s second oldest city, gave Ron a sense of a close-knit community, rich with history and diverse culture. Ron has always cared deeply about National City and has been actively involved in community service and political action. Before being elected to the City Council, he fought for residential property rights, led political campaigns against outside interests, and battled City Hall regularly.
