The education ministry says an additional $2.1 billion has been earmarked, for repairs to 266 schools damaged by Hurricane Beryl, in July last year.

Transport Minister Daryl Vaz says there were a few mishaps yesterday, as some of the recently acquired school buses were tested on their routes ahead of the new school year in September.

The buses are being tested over four days on 122 routes.
