With more schools expected to reopen soon, the Local Government Ministry says it is working to relocate persons from educational institutions which are being used as shelters. Both the National Water Resources Authority (WRA) and the Manchester Health Department have issued warnings to residents of Content and Kirkvine in Manchester, as the water situation continues to pose serious health risks. Speaking with reporters yesterday, Managing Director of the WRA, Peter Clarke, cautioned residents against returning to affected area.

Five persons are dead, while several others are in hospital with serious injuries following a motor vehicle crash along the PJ Patterson Highway in St. Catherine this afternoon.
