The Jamaica Constabulary Force says it continues to maintain a strong presence within communities in and around Waltham Park,  in St. Andrew following the fatal shooting of an alleged gangster yesterday. 

Dead is Shacqol Pounal, otherwise called ‘Track Star’, of Content Avenue, Kingston 10. 

Police say he was a hig-hranking member of the 7’s Gang.

The National Road Safety Council will meet today to further discussions on promoting road safety and reducing the number of deaths on the roads.

According to data from the Island Traffic Authority, fatalities decreased by 21 percent when compared to last year, a difference of 27 fatalities.

The male lead pastor of an alleged religious cult based in St. Catherine is under investigation for the reported kidnapping of a teen girl from Clarendon last week.
