Kevin Mahon was born and raised in the Toronto area of Canada and now resides in the musical capital of the world, Austin TX.Since 1991 Kevin has been a journeyman recording artist, musician, and songwriter traveling throughout North America with such acts as The Plaid Daddys, Declan Nine, Real Gone, The Cradles, and most recently Before The Devil Knows You're Dead.In 2015 Kevin began to compile personal recordings he had made over the years into a solo project entitled Hell's Kitchen Irish Ale.Radio Ireland is a new novel by Kevin Mahon, a Canadian who now calls Austin, Texas home, but his family roots are in Ireland. Whether she is captaining her infamous 1966 Bedford Tour Bus or whether she is carving a unique musical path melding her own Irish roots from the ancient limestone rocks of Country Clare with her respect of the red dirt roads of 60,000 years of Indigenous culture in Australia, she is doing it all to her very own beat. rish Film Festival Ottawa is a non-profit organization that celebrates Irish culture, language, humour and history through the modern medium of film. Founded in March 2014, the festival showcases recent films of all genres from Irish filmmakers in a three-day event that also incorporates Irish music, dance, and other arts. Our vision is to bring Irish film and filmmakers to Ottawa to support and promote Irish culture for the benefit of both Ottawa’s Irish community and the local population, and to inspire and develop Ottawa’s local film-making community. The festival provides a medium through which it is possible to share and promote Irish heritage to not only the Irish Diaspora but Canadians of all ethnicities who wish to learn more about Ireland, its people and its culture.​The festival would not be possible without a dedicated team of volunteers who work tirelessly throughout the year to make it happen.

Future Oceans Creative Director Catherine LaroseFuture Oceans: Igniting a global community of designers spotlighting the ocean plastic crisisIn 2019, ten fashion designers were selected from an international design competition and featured in Future Oceans, a one-of-a-kind fashion show at the Victoria International Marina, that spotlights the ocean plastic waste crisis while proposing sustainable solutions.The designers spent 5 months creating wearable art pieces featuring reclaimed ocean plastic from beaches and oceans. They also launched ready-to-wear fashion lines using eco-friendly fabrics, which they debuted at The Bay Centre Victoria during their one month long Eco-Boutique. During this time, musicians worked on a Future Oceans soundtrack, and dancers from the Nanaimo Contemporary ballet produced the first Future Oceans dance performance titled “Plastic Whale”.
