2024 marks the 1500th anniversary of the death of St. Brigid

Brigid Festival Vancouver is a four-day free festival to celebrate the healing, light, and creativity of Irish women and women across the world with a mix of in-person and virtual gatherings.

Michael Kelly is now in his 90's and emigrated from the Tarbert area in the early 1950's. Initially to the UK and subsequently to Canada where he lived in Montreal, Ottawa and now Vancouver.

Davie O'Donohoe is from Limerick and immigrated from Ireland> He spent many years in the 60's & 70's touring Canada & USA with as a member of Irish bands, The Celts & Ireland's Travelling People. Davie celebrated his 80th birthday in 2022.
