A spiritually accurate Nativity Scene would include a dragon at the manger. Kam points out some of the parallels between the gospels’ accounts of Jesus’s birth and John’s vision recorded in Revelation, emphasizing what the scriptures say about Satan. Though he is the father of lies, seeking to kill and destroy God’s people, he has been defeated by King Jesus and we have victory in our Savior.

Ben introduces the format for our advent season - studying the book of Revelation in parallel with the story of Jesus’s birth. John saw in his vision a scroll of God’s promise that could not be opened by anyone - no one was worthy to break the seals and read the contents - and he wept. However, Jesus, through humbling Himself and becoming like a lamb that was slain, was found worthy. The entirety of heaven changed its song to one of praise for Jesus, our Savior, the worthy Lamb.
