Plus: Questions are being raised about the integrity of Brazil’s historic Car Wash investigation which saw former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva jailed for nine years, in a scandal centered on the state-owned oil giant Petrobras. Lula’s defence team are arguing for his release, claiming the judge who convicted him in 2017 was biased against him. Tom Hennigan reports from Sao Paulo.
