NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has managed to turn the PR tide in her favour, since her relationship with disgraced former MP Daryl Maguire was exposed.

Some of the questions she's been asked during interviews on the topic in recent days have been excruciating, but some of the most crucial ones haven't been asked at all.

Ms Berejiklian's erstwhile on-again, off-again partner is now the subject of a second investigation, and there's no sign his life is about to get any easier.

But is the Premier herself going to hang on to her job?
