Tonight, Dr. Phil explores how reverse discrimination and DEI initiatives have affected some Americans. Brooks Warden is a plaintiff in a lawsuit alleging students and school administrators in the Austin Independent School District in Texas violated his civil rights. He claims he suffered repeated racial harassment since age 12 when he put on a MAGA hat in a predominantly Hispanic and liberal middle school. Brooks is joined by his father, Monte Warden and their attorney, Mark Trammell, who discuss why they’re appealing their case to the Supreme Court. Lois Herrera, an accomplished former executive at the Department of Education in NYC, was at the center of a discrimination lawsuit against the agency. Herrara, who had had a master’s degree from Harvard, was abruptly demoted and replaced by person of color with a GED. She later settled with courts for $700,000. Attorney Seth Berenzweig offers advice to those who have suffered backlash from DEI policies.
