Since the Christchurch massacre, Facebook has been accused of hosting hate speech and live streams of mass murder.

It's the latest in a long list of complaints about the platform, including concerns about privacy and anti-competitive behaviour.

That anger is being harnessed by US presidential hopeful Elizabeth Warren, who's part of a push to break up big tech.

So have Facebook, Google, Apple and Amazon grown too big?

And if the US government tried to split them up, what kind of pushback might there be?
