I thought NOTHING could get worse press than UFC on the White House South Lawn… but boy was I wrong. The establishment media is FREAKING OUT over the Great American State Fair hosted by Freedom 250 on the National Mall this month, and every time I open the Internet I come across another negative headline trashing “Trump’s fair” as completely empty, boring, and poorly planned.

Living in Washington ourselves, my daughter Isla and I decided to check it out and brave the heatwave currently plaguing the swamp to see it for ourselves. Spoiler alert–it was AWESOME, and a fantastic concept to “visit” all 50 states and even more U.S. territories to experience the incredible breadth of culture we take for granted in America day in & day out.

From daily rodeo events in front of the United States Capitol to ferris wheel rides above the National Mall, if you happen to be in Washington, D.C. this weekend for the Fourth of July, you MUST stop by the Great American State Fair and show your state some love! Better yet - bring your kids to experience their “first rodeo” in the heart of our nation’s capital!
