On Sunday June 30, Islington United Church began it's summer series on finding God in the ordinary through biblical and modern-day parables.

On Sunday June 23, Islington United Church celebrated Noisy Sunday, honoured our children's ministry, and celebrated 7 baptisms!

On Sunday June 16, Islington United Church observed Indigenous Peoples Sunday.

Friday June 21 is National Indigenous Day of Prayer.

Affirm Sunday with Guest Preacher and Voluntary Associate Minister Rev. Ruth Noble.

Rev. Ruth Noble has been in The United Church of Canada since birth. She followed in her father’s footsteps and became a minister 26 years ago. She worked at Head Office of The United Church of Canada, telling the stories of Mission & Service in print, video, photo, and social media. Ruth is retiring early from ministry to embark on a new path of writing Queer historical fiction as well as blogging and she is in the process of creating a podcast called “Queer Historical World.”

Ruth also volunteers her time with Pride Toronto in Family Pride where she performs puppet shows in drag. Ruth also spends time in the Geeky World of Harry Potter, trying to live up to the motto of Newt Scamander, “Try very hard not to be predicable.”
