Let the lowly brother boast in his exaltation, and the rich in his humiliation, because like a flower of the grass he will pass away.

Pastor Aaron looks at Ephesians 1:1-3 and how Paul became the messenger for Jesus. “Paul, an apostle of Christ [King] Jesus by the will of God, To the saints [holy ones] who are in Ephesus, and are faithful in Christ [loyal to King] Jesus: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ [the King]. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ [the King!], who has blessed us in Christ [the king] with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,”

We don’t know what we don’t know until some sort of trial reveals it. In James 1:5-8 we se that God is waiting to reveal wisdom from above.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

We look at the launch and legacy of the church at Ephesus with implications for the church at Issaquah. We are asking God to give us a white hot loyalty to Jesus so that we can remain a vibrant witness on the Eastside.

We all want to be helpful but some people act like they don’t need help. Only God has no needs. Only God is self sufficient and he is here to serve. Are you open to that?

God do you hear my prayers? Am I invisible? God are you hiding from me? Isaiah 40:29,30

“He gives energy to the faint, 

and to the one who has no resources he gives much strength. Youths may get faint and weary, young men may totally collapse.”
