Marc Nathan opened his Baltimore-based comics shop, Comics, Cards, and Collectibles, in 1994. Five years later, he launched the Baltimore Comic Con, one of the top fan-favorite comic book conventions in the country. In 2017 he instituted the Ringo Awards, an annual celebration of the year's best comics and the people who make them.
