On this special edition of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by film director Sean Mullin to discuss the highly acclaimed and sensational Yogi Berra documentary "It Ain't Over" that's currently airing on Netflix.
When we say "It's Not Over' has been one of the most highest scored documentary reviews of all-time, that's quite literally not an exaggeration. It has a Tomatometer score of 98% and audience approval rating of 96% on Rotten Tomatoes. Patrick talks about stumbling upon the film on Netflix and putting it on with the intention of working background noise before being pulled into just minutes in.
Sean spends some time talking about his life and career, including growing up in Indiana, going to West Point, living in New York and doing comedy and why he ultimately moved out to the west coast. They then get into the documentary and Sean talks about the process of getting the film made, how he went about getting some of the key talking heads, key parts of the film and the incredible reception it's received.
I would say if you're a New York Yankees fan or even a fan of the history of baseball, this is a must-watch film. It certainly is but's also so much more. This is a film about one of the great American success stories and goes way beyond sports. Hell, there's even Oscars buzz floating around "It Ain't Over" and it's a honor to have Mullin on to discuss it all.
Go check out "it Ain't Over" on either Netflix or Amazon Prime. You can read several reviews of it on Rotten Tomatoes.
