Personal growth is extremely difficult in the beginning and one of the reasons it is so difficult is because we have to man up to the fact we have been programmed and conditioned by people who didn't know what they were doing. In some cases we have even been lied to and deceived by people who are meant to love and protect us from this kind of thing.
That's not entirely their fault, they were programmed and conditioned in the same way. It's a never ending cycle and the system loves it. The problem is, are you strong enough to break generational curses and live your best life?
If you are, the next thing you have to understand is, you need to forgive yourself for who you used to be and things you did with the paradigm you had at the time. We all do stupid things and sometimes we hurt other people in the process. Sometimes we hurt ourselves more but the worst thing you can do is live with regret and never forgive yourself. You need to learn to forgive yourself and give yourself permission to shine in spite of all the naysayers and critics who keep trying to remind you of the mistakes you made.
