What does humility have to do with our faith? How did Jesus embody humility? Our pride can often get in the way of our relationship with God. When we are "me" first people, we put God second. Jesus is " humble and gentle at heart". There is rest for our souls in Him. It is not about us, it's about Him.

Romans 5:19. Today's episode we get into the topic of choosing obedience over what is convenient to us. Daily obedience that leads to steadfastness in our faith. Convenience is " being able to proceed with something with little effort or difficulty". Our obedience comes out of our love for God. Anallie walks us through the story of Jonah and how even in our disobedience God is merciful.

If you could be described in one word, what would it be? Identity is defined as the the collective aspect of the set of characteristics by which a thing is definitely recognizable or known. Where our identity is rooted or not, affects our entire life. The fruits of our life will reveal where our identity is placed. Are we bearing good fruit? Are we secure in who God says we are? In today's episode, we speak to the importance of being rooted, where steadfastness comes out of, and how experiencing God personally in our own life cultivates our trust in Him and who we are. Proverbs 9:10 - “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” So many of us yearn for wisdom or knowledge, some insight that would be a guiding light on how to make sense of this life. I believe there is so much value in listening to those who have walked before us. To sit and learn from those who intentionally pursue the Lord.

1 Corinthians chapters 1-3 is the text we focused on for this topic. Paul is addressing the church in Corinth, and bringing attention to the emphasis they have started to place on knowledge and the divisions it was causing. He reminds them that the world through its wisdom did not know God. Continuing in chapter 2 verse 11 it says " For who knows a person's thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God." The things that come from the Spirit of God can only be discerned through the Spirit.

We begin with reverence to the Creator.

Resilience ( or resilience'y as I say haha ) the capacity to stand or recover quickly from difficulties. "Toughness". I think resilience is something built in our day to day, in the realization that true strength does not come from within is. We cannot do this on our own, and there's a frustration that can come in accepting that. The book of Habakkuk has been such a reminder to me to go to God with my questioning, but to rest in knowing " The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights." To remember all He has done and will continue to do. Strength is what we have access to through Him. 

Why am I so sensitive? Sensitivity can feel like such burden sometimes, but it can be such a gift. Today's episode goes over the strength we are meant to experience in our sensitivity. Why does our sensitivity matter in our walk with God? How can we use our sensitivity to minister to others?
