Brothers Matthew and Barton Diamond say they gathered inspiration from Argentinian Steakhouses, New Orleans Po’ Boys, Southern Barbecue, Hawaiian Shrimp Trucks, and Caribbean Cuisine, and it shows in the wide range of meaty and vegetarian subs and salads with fresh ingredients and made-from-scratch sauces.

Following months of frustration with repairs needed to the building they’re in, the owners of Pizza Aroma in Downtown Ithaca says they’ll be closing their corner eatery on August 20th after 25 years at that spot, and “hope to open at our new location around early-mid October.”

Fortunately for those who have dogs well-behaved enough to sit under the table while the owners eat, the area sports a great number of places to bring Fido. Here’s a list of the places we know about that allow dogs under New York’s restaurant guidelines, which say restaurants can have pet dogs in any outdoor spaces that don’t require the guest to bring the dog through an indoor food service area.
