Welcome to Not Marketing, the podcast where we are redefining marketing for soulful solopreneurs.
Enter a new era where you’re NOT marketing. You've walked away from the old, outdated manipulative tactics. What you do is different - you're sharing, connecting and truth-telling with honesty, integrity, care and consent at the heart of your business.
I'm Amanda Jane, the Original Reluctant Marketer, and I'm here to start a revolution to change marketing into a force for healing and good, both for ourselves and those that our message is meant to reach.
The new podcast launches Friday, September 29th, 2023. Make sure you subscribe for all the new episodes. Join the movement by signing up to be part of the podcast launch squad by going to notmarketing.ca.

The crux is that a reluctant marketer isn’t putting themselves out there as much as they’d like. As the OG reluctant marketer, today I'm diving into to where that reluctance comes from.
You'll hear about the logistical and emotional, and it's no wonder there is hesitation once you open this catalog of pressures, risks, worries, and conflicting desires. Plus what we need to understand to relieve the plight of the reluctant marketer.
For those wanting support and accountability to courageously share your work in the world and would like more information about the Courage Circle Membership you can reach out on Instagram or Facebook at @courageouslyamandajane or email [email protected]
All the work in your business can be broken down into two main categories: Internal actions and and eternal actions. It's important to know in which category each piece of work you're doing is AND it's important t know the division of your labour in each of those areas.
I'm sharing the two kinds of internal work and how they differ from external work and the reason why you might be spending all your time working in your business and not actually seeing the results you want. *Hint - the balance between the two is off.
Also, I mentioned in the episode that I host a monthly review in The Village and you find the upcoming dates in the Community Events calendar here.
And come join the conversation about internal and external work in the Village at www.amandajane.ca/courage
It’s a new season, there's a new intro for the podcast (and soon to be new cover art), so it's time to get reacquainted because a lot of time has passed since the podcast launched originally and things have (inevitably) changed.... but not everything.
In this short bonus episode I'm sharing what's staying the same and what's evolved and how that came about. And I'm revealing the exciting new focus and direction that The More Ways Podcast now has.
Get in on the deep, rich and real conversations that we're having that goes along with the podcast in our private community (no it's not a Facebook Group). You can find us at amandajane.ca/courage and sign up.
I’ve been wanting to return to the podcast and I knew I wanted to start with was an honest and transparent reflection and sharing about what it takes to come back to something that you’ve failed at or haven’t been successful with or that you haven’t been consistent with.
For anybody that wants to try something again I'm sharing what it's taken for me to try again.
I’m focusing on 4 things and what it was like for me to go through that in the process of coming back to the podcast and what I've learned.
An exciting edition is that we now have a private Courage Community where we can engage in conversations and dialogues about these ideas. I’d love for you to join us at amandajane.ca/courage
Through my work with hundreds of clients I’ve become attuned to how much language effects mindset and the actions you take.

In this episode, I'm sharing:
I'm sharing a fun metaphor about the differences between being a driver or passenger of a car and in your life.
For show notes, visit amandajane.ca/podcast09
This episode explores the experience of being a passenger and helps you determine if that's how you're going through life and shares what's needed to be a driver. Being the driver of your life isn't about making the right decision it's about taking back the choices that are yours to make every day.
This episode takes a fun twist on what distraction is and how to use them for your benefit.

I also introduced my upcoming Courageous Conversation monthly series for women who want to explore an interesting and valuable topic that isn't part of your day-to-day. Because I believe when you slow down and take the opportunity to participate in a safe and supportive dialogue you can discover true growth and deep learning. More details here.
In todays episode we're taking a critical look at goals, where they came from, where they're most useful and why. And I share a different tool that you can use if you want something that goals can't give you.
