How many of you listening put your hard-earned dollar, dollar bills in somebody else's pocket based on the label sewn into a pocket, emblazoned on a handbag, or embossed on the side of a fresh pair of kicks?

Let's go one step further.

How many of you tell your money where to go based on how an ad claims where your life will go if you buy this product? 

The US ad industry is a 352 billion dollar industry. That is a lot of money trying to tell and sell you on who you are or could be if you bought x, y, z.

 But who do you say you are?

So my guess, is you are known for something? Do you know what that is? 

Are you wearing a label based on your experiences? And has that not been wearing on you too?

 Maybe it’s time to rebrand yourself for a brand new you.

We’ve all heard the saying, “Home is where your heart is”, right? So, how many of you listening, if I did a drive-by of your home, would I not find you nor your heart there?

Would it be at somebody else’s place and space?
Would it be busied in a bunch of Bible studies at church?
Would it be buzzing around on a date and a dating app? or
Would it be doing one more DoorDash for some extra cash?

Where you be, girl?

You see, where you be is where your heart is also, and if it is not at home nor focused on your home, my bet is your kids may not feel protected and your house is neglected.

Home is where your heart should be!

As a single parent do you find that life tends to feel like you are caught between a rock and a hard place? 

Not really a comfortable place to be, is it? Especially, if you’ve been there for a long time or, maybe, you recently found yourself there. It is a difficult single situation where you may feel like you are forced into a place of unequal and unpleasant challenges. None of which has an option to upgrade nor one you would want to buy into.

When we live a surrendered life, we learn that there is significance in a single situation. We find our sweet spot in surrender.

So it may not be Christmas, at the end of July, but I do think it's. a season where we all need to find joy in our jumbled mess. 

The facts are, times are tough, and not one of us is not touched by it in some way.

If you’ve recently found yourself in a “single situation,” you may even feel more singled out, but that doesn’t mean you have to “single-handily” go on the journey of solo parenting - no matter how tough times are or big your jumbled mess is.

So at this moment, maybe we can’t change the immediate situation, but what if we could change those negative feelings immediately with something better even if it’s not the Christmas season?

Dating and Relating. 

Whew, girl, this is a subject that has been a subject of many questions with single mommas whom I have talked to, who, like me, are looking for love and to be loved. 

So I am going to go on record and say, this is a tough subject for me to talk about and one I can’t say I am a dating expert in. More like have experience in.
