After what felt like six years, we've reached the end of June. That means today's FP focuses on our favorite content of this quarter. Our top three films, tv shows, and music. With the resurgence of protests against police brutality and chants to defund/abolish our current system of policing, we discuss the history of police in TV and film. How it affected our view of those who protect & serve. And, what the future of police/crime series will bring. Speaking of policing, we also recap HBO's premiere of Perry Mason and reminisce on Sherman's Showcase Black History Month Spectacular. 

This week we discuss the final two episodes of HBO's introspective drama "I Know This Much Is True." We praise Mark Ruffalo's award-worthy performance and the series' message about family. We also ponder what can be done to diversify LGBTQIA+ stories seen on screen. And in No Concessions, we review two films which investigate the Black American soldier's experience overseas.
