((This episode proudly sponsored by Anchor.fm!)) - Sacramento, California's Judith Ann Hakari’s life was taken. She was murdered; her body dumped in a shallow grave. After 50 years, we’re looking for justice for Judy Hakari and the community that was rocked by her death. We need your help.
In this episode titled, "Judy's Missing", we focus on the 7 week period between her abduction and her body being discovered. The time between was rough on Judy's parents, her fiancé, the homicide investigators and the entire Sacramento community. We discuss Judy as a person and where she was in that moment before she was taken. How she was planning her June wedding, refurbishing a family heirloom piano for her and Ray's new home after the wedding, her engagement photo session that ended up being the last photo of her...taken on the day she died. We also talk about what her parents were going through during this time. The anguish of not knowing and feeling helpless and unable to do anything productive. Her father called this time period "Hellish". The local media updated the public each day with new information, but hope was waning as the weeks went on.
And then April 25, 1970 a missing person case suddenly became a murder investigation.
