Shawna starts off the show by confessing her obsession with planning. Everything goes on her calendar. Well, 2020 hasn’t been a great year for planning. Plans made were canceled and/or severely altered. It was nearly impossible to plan as things were constantly changing…opening…closing…opening again & closing…again. But for Shawna this has been a training time, to learn to watch for God and respond to Him in the moment. To wait, to listen and to obey like police dog keeps an eye on his handler waiting for instructions on what to do next. What did 2020 teach you?

 

2020 has been a year of learning for Scott as well. He’s learned a few valuable lessons that he opens up with us about. One of them is God’s will for us to be thankful in all circumstances! We have so much to be grateful for, even when life throws us a curve ball.

 

As we look back on 2020, in hindsight, we can see decisions that we made and how they impacted us and others. Esther, in the bible, was put in a position of great influence. She was surrendered to God and sought His wisdom for her life. As she did God protected her, and saved her people. It’s a fascinating story. Check it out in the book of Esther in the bible. Esther followed God’s instructions day by day and what came of her obedience was bigger than Esther, or anyone for that matter, would’ve ever imagined. Is there something that God is asking of you that seems insignificant? Are you willing to obey him anyway?
